I'm a professional musician who has been in NYC for over a decade. I specialize in music from the Jazz Age and Swing Era.
I'm pretty quiet around the house other than practicing (which is an acoustic guitar, so not loud), and watching TV. Besides music I'm into vintage menswear, sci-fi shows, craft cocktails, cooking/restaurants, history.

Front bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment in Hudson Heights. Bedroom is ~130sqft plus closet. Full apartment is ~700sqft. Room for a few additional pieces of furniture in living room. 2 available shelves of bookshelf space, cabinet space available in kitchen. Dishwasher in unit.
Quiet pre-war elevator building. Apartment faces courtyard. Laundry in basement. A express train at 181 is right outside the front door. 4 block walk to the 1 train. Restaurants near by, good coffee shops, 3 grocery stores. Quiet, safe neighborhood.
No smoking / furry pets (allergic).
$1200 per month plus half of internet and con-ed bills. Rent includes a few professional cleanings of common areas (kitchen, living room, bathroom, hall) each month.
My ideal roommate would be someone who cleans up after themself, pays the rent on time, isn't super noisy, is respectful to the neighbors/building, is a decent hang, doesn't wreck the place. It would be great if they worked a traditional schedule so that I'm home while they're at work and I'm often out on gigs when they're home in the evening. But I'm open to folks with non-traditional schedules.
