About Me

Hi all! I hope you're doing well and staying safe in this crazy time. I'm looking for a room to rent starting August 1st, preferably in Brooklyn or Manhattan, but I'm also open to Queens and Jersey City/Hoboken. I know it's a little early to start looking, but I thought I'd put some feelers out there. My budget is $800/mo max (not including utilities). I'm a senior at The New School, majoring in Literary Studies with a concentration in queer literature. I'll be graduating this December, and then I'll go on to pursue my MFA in Playwriting. Currently, I live in NJ, where I work at a public library. I'll be searching for employment in NYC (preferably in something essential, like a supermarket, in case we have to go into lockdown again). However, I'll be maintaining my NJ employment in the meantime. My income is stable, and thankfully, my rental budget is secure, due to student loans and savings. A little more about me -- my interests include: avant garde theatre, queer theory, astrology (though I try not to be obnoxious about it...), going out dancing, going out to restaurants (needless to say, I've been going a little stir crazy in this time), and working out. I've been told I'm a great listener, and I love learning new things. I don't post on FB all that much, but if you'd like to check out my Insta it's @johnpattersonofficial
