Hi, I'm Alex! I'm moving to NYC, from Philly, for a new job. I will be in office 3 days a week and WFH 2 days a week.

A few of my hobbies include reading (mostly non-fiction), drawing, very long walks daily to counteract the sedentary desk-work lifestyle, and volunteering (community gardening and animal shelters are my go-to). I'm hoping to explore new things often in NYC; I'd be happy to have a roommate tag along and be a beginner in every new activity lol.

I like to find new great restaurants and find the best dark roast coffee. I *love* movie nights and tv binge watches, but I am not a "cinephile." I love junk tv as much as the next person and I stand by the Emmy-worthy performances on Real Housewives. I like to go to the library and find a new book; I think libraries are havens. I am extremely !! excited to have access to the New York Public Library system

I've lived alone for the past 2 years and have managed a household (of 1) by myself. I know how to keep a space clean for myself, including regular schedules for laundry, vacuuming (have a Roomba, but also vacuum areas it can't reach), and grocery shopping. I have also lived with roommates before and seek to respect my roommates' privacy as I hope they do mine.
