Hi, I am 17 years old and will be 18 in a couple months although people wont hear me seriously because of my age. I am not the type of ghetto, dirty, party type girl.Im not into that drama-filled, gang-related type of bs, id like to be upfront and real with someone wholl give me the same energy. I am responsible, I do like to cook, clean up after myself, and fend for myself. Im looking for a roommate just for a couple of years possibly 2-3 so I can get a job, go to college, save up some money, get my first car and focus more about the future. As of right now I want to be successful in the future as im trying to be in the process of saving up at the moment. Im usually in my room chilling focusing on my school work, listening to music, writing down ways to be more successful after I leave. I want to be around either Houston or San Antonio TX, to be kinda close to my family but not too close.Roommate wise, Ill probably knock on their door, check up on them once in a while if i feel a little too cooped up in my room. Id like to talk to my roommate about a cleaning schedule, splitting the rent, utilities, and house rules. If we can meet a week to two possibly three before we make a decision of moving in with one another to see if were "compatible" that would be great id like to be treated the way im treated and be on the same level when it comes to the house for ex. If theres a leak in the pipes or a hole in the wall wed need to talk about it and compromise. I am open when need to be, independent, responsible, fair, and understandable. I do want protection of my own that will be in my room safely and not used unless needed. I want to be on a liking standard with my roommate we dont have to be buddy-buddy but I dont want to feel uncomfortable and fake smiles in her face, just a smile and wave "Hey how are you" start a conversation maybe eat out together once a month, relax with one another. Now I am very cautious around people in general especially men. If men are coming in the house on top of if anyone is coming in the house id like to know im the type of girl that will have my door locked leave the house for a few hours and come back when everyone gone just for safety purposes, I never know anyones true intentions and just want to be cautious.I do not mind any dog or cat a roommate has I do not plan on having one of my own for those years, If a roommate has kids I am open to babysitting, I do NOT want to be put in ANY DANGEROUS SITUATION COMMUNICATION IS KEY. I am a very nice and sweet girl as im told but will speak out about anything I do not like. Ending on a positive note Ill appreciate anything I receive hoping everything goes smoothly to have a roommate that understands me and the same for them.
