Roommate Wanted: $875 2b/1ba in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria!

Seeking a roommate for a 2nd story, 2b/1ba apartment just a block off of King Street and a 15 minute walk to both the Waterfront and King Street Metro. 15 minute walk to all the nearby grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Harris Teeter) with coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques and more right outside our door, and just minutes from 495, DCA, and downtown Washington, DC.

Your bedroom is modestly-sized with hardwood floors and high ceilings. The windows face the street-side of the apartment, so the room receives lots of natural light (great for plants!). The bedroom will fit a full to queen-sized bed and additional furniture and has a small closet attached. Shared spaces in the apartment also enjoy big windows and high ceilings, including the galley kitchen, spacious living room and shared bathroom.

Laundry consists of card-operated machines in the basement of the building. Also in the basement is a large, included storage locker shared by both roommates. Please note that there are no elevators in the building.

Your roommate is a mid-20s woman working at a nonprofit in DC (remotely for now) and her cat (of the friendly-but-not-quite-cuddly variety) (no other pets, sorry!). I enjoy yoga and the occasional hike, voracious reading, and nights both out and in with friends. I’m responsible and respectful, keep a clean house, am very into honest communication and am seeking a roommate who is all of the same. LGBT+ inclusive and anti-racist views non-negotiable. Rent is $875 per person and includes water and heat. Other utilities paid for by tenants include cable, gas, and electric and rarely total above $50 per person. Expected move-in date is after August 19 but can be negotiated.
