John and I are personal trainers and work downstairs in our building, our schedules are irregular so we are in the apartment throughout the day. We're pretty low-key and keep to ourselves but are happy to socialize! We've had several roommates over the past few years, some people prefer to keep to themselves while others have been more social and hung out with us regularly at home/outside. Whatever you prefer!
We have people over about once a month but never big/loud groups. We're 420 friendly so definitely keep that in mind if that's not something you're comfortable with. Other than that, we're all pretty easy going and happy to communicate & compromise if something is bothering you! We both are very tidy and like to keep the common areas clean.

LOOKING TO FILL A ROOM IN ASTORIA
My boyfriend John (37) and I (29) are looking to fill an extra bedroom
in our apartment. The apartment is a third floor walk up.
The room is 10x13 with a wardrobe included (no closet). It can fit a queen sized bed as well as a few other small pieces of furniture. We have a tiny extra bedroom that we use for storage that you’re welcome to use!
The location is super convenient, right off of 30th Ave and Steinway street and super close to bars/restaurants/etc. There are two grocery stores (Ctown & Key Food) within 3 blocks of the apartment. We’re a little less than a 10 minute walk to Steinway M/R and 30th Ave N/W stops.
You’re welcome to use the common areas as well, there is a dishwasher but no laundry (laundromat is two blocks away). The monthly rent includes wifi, gas & electric. A security deposit is required but will be returned or can be used as last month’s rent as long as there aren’t any major damages. We have two cats who hang out in the common areas but we’ll leave it up to you whether you allow them in your space or not!
