First, some comments due to this site's inadequate profiling.
Both current roommates work from home. The apartment is large enough that three people can work from home without any issues in terms of space and noise.
I tend to be up until 11 or 12. The other roommate gets up very early, so he tends to withdraw about 9 or 10.
We go out rarely, except for Prospect Park exercise when it is not overly crowded, and for groceries.
During normal (Pre-COVID-19) life, I tend to visit friends or neighbors rather than having them over to the apartment. But anyone living here feels comfortable having guests over, and there is no issue with out of town guests staying for a weekend, etc. We have had almost no one visiting since the COVID-19 lockdown started.
I have always gotten on well with roommates, and remain friends with all the former roommates who remain in NYC, or on FaceBook, etc.
Otherwise, I am educated and socially progressive, with broad cultural interests. Most of my friends are educators, professionals, television writers, musicians, etc.
I have lived in this building since I got out of graduate school. Some roommates have stayed for many years, as I am a genuinely nice, uncomplicated person, and it is a very nice place to live, with nice neighbors, and the prettiest neighborhood in the city. Often, various roommates have ended up friends with my friends and vice versa. But others have been more to themselves, which is fine.
I have typically had one male and one female roommate, but not always. Otherwise they have been European, African, South American, Native New Yorkers, Southerners, New Englanders, or from Middle-America like me.
Some were artists, others med students, IT or hi-tech professionals, a lawyer, a doctor, nannies, etc. And not (too) allergic to cats, as there has always been cats here. The current feline resident is a rescue with PTSD, so she is unable to live with other pets.

Private bedroom in large Park Slope limestone, one block from Prospect Park.
Flexible move-in. November 10th or 15th possible.
Looking for an employed roommate, who wishes to join a friendly, laid back three-bedroom household in a large 8-room apartment.
Our entire 8-unit building is COVID-compliant. We take that very seriously. You must as well.
Bedroom is furnished. Includes a full-size bed and mattress, built-in closet with full length mirror, dresser, and shelving. Window A/C in summer is available. Bedding can be provided.
You can bring your own stuff if you want.
You would share large living room, kitchen, and 1-1/2 bathrooms with 2 males and 1 female cat. Doug is a middle school teacher and Todd is an IT software trainer and professional copywriter.
The apartment is large, making it easy to “social distance” and not disturb one another.
References available upon request.
Unfortunately, no other pets. Nisa Honeybun Dubois is a rescue with PTSD. Other animals have proven far too stressful.
Rent includes Verizon Fios and all other utilities.
2 Store Rooms. One serves as reading room, exercise room, shared office space as needed.
Friendly neighbors and landlady on premises.
One-month security deposit required - but can be flexible with proof of employment and steady income.

- 2, 3, 4, 5 - Grand Army Plaza
