Tamber: 36-year-old Spanish interpreter/translator and part time law student at Georgetown in her final year. Used to work around town in hospitals and courts before the pandemic, and now works remotely from a private office she rents in Navy Yard. I love biking, snow sporting, hiking, yoga, and reading.
Brigitte: 30-year-old from Miami who works on the Hill full time and loves scary movies, binging Netflix, and sun bathing.
Vonnie: 27-year-old non-profit arts fundraiser who loves painting, writing, binging Netflix and hanging out on our porch. She is cat mom to your fourth roommate, Freya, who is an affectionate, friendly tortoiseshell cat.
Freya (tortie cat) has been a wonderful no-fuss roommate since we got her in January, and her cat mom takes great care of her and her litter box, which is located in the laundry room of the basement. She doesn't come into your room unless you let her, and the common spaces/furniture stay pretty free of cat hair.

$900 a month plus utilities, internet, and professional monthly cleaning (usually about $80-120 a month each, all in); $900 security deposit; minimum 1 year lease that will end Aug 31, 2021. Your lease will officially start September 1st, but the exact move-in date is flexible so you can move in a bit earlier if needed.
The house itself was recently renovated in 2015 and is super spacious, with a large finished basement common area (that's the room with the table and white desk in the pictures) and an upstairs living room-dining room area. The appliances in the house are also really new, with a modern washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and a smart fridge. We also have a lovely back deck with hammocks, an herb garden, and tomatoes!
The two available bedrooms are roughly 120 square feet each (about 10x12). We have a storage room on the third floor and a storage room in the basement.
We also have a parking space, which we used last year for guests, but if you'd like to occupy it, we can negotiate.
Location:
In between H street and I street, we're in the heart of the H Street Corridor within walking distance dozens of bars, restaurants, and cafes.
It's easy commuting from here to Capitol Hill, Gallery Place, and many other typical DC workplaces. There is a free streetcar to Union Station (red, yellow, and green line) which stops half a block from our place, and the X-2 is down the road one block. Otherwise, it's about a 20 min walk to Union Station.
For food, there is a Trader Joe’s about a mile away on 3rd and Florida NE. About ¾ mile away is Whole Foods and Giant, both on H St. There's also a Safeway about five blocks away. We also have a farmer’s market that sets up on our block every Saturday May-December!
