Joel S - $1,300/month

Just another dude from the Midwest who wants to work in film and/or television (writing for animation specifically, but I'd be content doing whatever really). Been wanting to move out to L.A. for many years, but money has always been an issue. During the pandemic I had a lot of time to think about things and I've decided I can't wait around forever in a stressful job that barely covers the bills.

I'm clean, quiet, friendly, and I have a really cool dog who is also those things! His name is Zuko. He's some kind of terrier-mix. About to be five years old, less than 40 lbs, neutered, potty-trained, fully vaccinated, etc. Gets along with other dogs, gets along with cats and has lived with one before for a couple months (ex), he loves people. His only fault if you ask me is that he sheds a bit.

As for me I have enough money saved up to last a few months in case it takes a bit to find work. I have a car. I love grilling and can bring a grill of that's allowed. I quit drinking during lockdown and decided to keep it up (over a year now), but have no problem being around alcohol. I smoke weed, but don't make it part of my personality or style. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog and hiking, but love my indoor time too with writing, watching tv, and playing video games (mostly Nintendo stuff, I don't do much online gaming at all).

I typically don't discuss this stuff, but just to get it all out there: I do lean pretty left on the political spectrum. I grew up in conservative circles so I can get along with them unless you're MAGA/Qanon. I'm not religious, but respect all religions. I don't believe or follow horoscopes, but I hear that's important to some people so for those that do care I'm an Aquarius. I am fully vaccinated.
