I am a freelance graphic designer, painter, writer and occasional teacher. I work at home, in the den area or garage when I'm painting. I'm very easy going, clean but not spotless, liberal, artsy, friendly but like my alone time too. I've had roommates who have become lifelong friends and others who were good roommates but after living together we amicably went our separate ways. I’m into culture (art, music, architecture, literature) read, do crossword puzzles, watch tv, exercise... see friends, have a glass of wine or cocktail now and then, more of a night person, pescetarian, single.
I have two adorable senior kitties, Lola and Harry. I can't have any more pets at the moment, unfortunately. And if you're allergic, you can't escape it. Harry is super friendly and affectionate as a dog, and you have to earn Lola's trust but once she has it, she's super sweet. You don’t need to have them in your room but it’s important that you like cats!

Bright room in cozy condo w pool, tennis courts in complex, grand piano
Hi! I’m renting a sunny unfurnished room + ensuite bathroom with shower and large closet in my lovely townhouse. The room is 130 square feet, freshly painted blue, with a skylight that provides tons of natural light. All utilities and apps included, plus you get a parking space in my private garage, a washer dryer, a key to use any of the 6 pools and hot tubs and two tennis courts in the complex, central a/c and heat, a fireplace and a vintage grand Steinway. It’s multilevel, above the garage is a large high ceilinged living room with lots of antiques, couches, art and books. The next level has the piano, wet bar, guest bathroom, den with a ton of books, art and a tv, kitchen and my workspace. The top level has both of our bedrooms, bathrooms and linen closet. The first two levels and stairs have carpet, and upstairs bedrooms have synthetic wood floors with small carpet areas in the closet and bathroom. We only share the wall to our bathrooms. I never hear people staying in that room or the neighbors on either side, though I am close to a nursery school and occasionally hear children playing and planes overhead. There’s also a sweet outdoor patio in the front with tea potted plants, bougainvillea trees, a picnic table and tea lights.
The condo complex (Studio Village) is very well kept and one of the most desirable properties in the area. It’s residential but around the corner from the Studios and a mile away from Tujunga Village, Trader Joe’s, CVS, numerous bars, restaurants, nail salons, shops etc. on and along Ventura and Laurel Canyon Blvd. Great walking neighborhood. Local farmer’s market every Sunday. This area of Ventura is known as Sushi Row, the highest concentration of sushi spots in the US, second to Tokyo worldwide.
