Room for rent in a house located in the Brentwood neighborhood, near Burnet Road at Koenig Lane. $850/mo plus utilities. Flexible on lease length, available for immediate move-in but ideally want the space filled by June. Month-to-month possible for short-term needs.

Very central in a supremely walkable area, pizza/coffee/tacos/drinks a few blocks away in every direction. Several bus lines are about a 3 minute walk, and the Allandale HEB is <5 minute walk. Fairly easy access to I-35 and Mopac as well.

Room is 8x10, plus a little nook by the door where a dresser, vanity, or small desk could go. Lots of light and gorgeous views of the lush backyard. It's the only bedroom in the downstairs of the house, you get your own bathroom, and your own parking spot in one of the driveways. Washer and dryer in-unit. No other roommates, but my precocious toddler is here a few days a week.

A semi-detached garage that is sort of divided into two areas. This could be a great space for artists, musicians, crafty folks, and maybe dancers or yogis (the previous tenant used it as a workshop for fleshlight art, not kidding).

The backyard is enormous, three different garden beds with various vegetables and flowers. A persimmon tree that looks fabulous when it blooms and fruits. HUGE plus if you are into gardening or working on permaculture-ish landscaping, there is so much room for planting whatever you desire or making an outdoor space for yourself. There's a balcony upstairs that's good for lounging, painting, or watching butterflies in the garden.

I am queer and nonbinary, and you should definitely be LGBTQ+ friendly or an ally.

I have a 3 year old who will spend some nights at the house, although she stays with her mom more. She's also at daycare on weekdays so it wouldn't be an issue if you have a WFH job. Definitely willing to be accommodating to your comfort level with kids, there's enough space that we can figure out how to arrange things in a way that works for everyone.
