Howdy,
My name is R. Geoffrey C. Bowman, M. Ed. When I was 14 I started working in restaurants, which lucked in cause when I was overseas working I got to try to replicate all the food form all the countries. After that I went to UNC-Asheville. Before that, my high school GPA was crap. I was pushed out of the system because my mother is divorced and the entire faculty filtered me out, however, I am Bowman. 6 months later I was in UNCA studying the NCSU 2+@ Engineering Program, I got into the Aeronautical, Aerospace, and a trial program for Rocket Science Mechatronics. I made it into NCSU after the 2 years, and I studied Engineering. I was required to take an internship at the same time, and my hometown is Wilmington. So, I literally called the United States Army Corpse of Engineers, and they gave me a big boy internship. I cannot talk about those things or projects ever, so please don't ask. It's not that special... imagine measuring sand in 100 foot sieves. I quickly realized I hate engineering! So, I transferred to Mathematics and was a cryptographic student (that was my specialty). So, I did that, and also got a B.S. in STEM. My wife at the time, took a PhD. at Texas A&M University. I then got my Master of Education, don't want to teach in public schools, or in the USA, no offense, I am a foreigner from up north. I have been here since I was 3. I have a southern accent, and there goes that. I studied many foreign languages, and studied the global culture of education and how it has evolved. I published 2 research papers, I get like 400 views a month. It's pretty rewarding. I also studied how to teach English as a Foreign Language by interpreting their lives, before they entered my class, and used culture as a medium. I then left, TAMU, 2 months later, I cook BBNQ like hell marinaded for 10 days with 50 million ingredients. I learned from a place called Fuego De Chao and a burn pit course for 2 months on the weekends. So, then, my wife tells me she got a job with Monsanto and need to go to Harbin, Heilongjiang. That is the Northern most part of China near Siberia. Yes, it was cold. Like -60 Celsius. I remember taking my belt off to hang onto the light in the city square and hanging on for dear life! I remember so many great things, and one horrible thing. MY EXWIFE CHEATED ON ME AND LEFT ME IN SIBERIA! I AM NOT KIDDING YOU! So, I got home 6 months later, because my contract was up, too. I had a job their teaching adults ESL to get into Samsung in SK. That was in between us all being a happy family in Beijing. That place is cool as hell, but not anymore. Everyone is pissed over there and is burning skyscrapers down, and the 30-45 year old are refusing to work. Its called the Bai Lan movement, meaning Burn it to the ground. Pretty bad ass, I think. The majority of people there are really wonderful people, welcoming them into their homes, feeding you, cutting your hair, the different product are not cheap like they are in the USA, either, its just that the government sucks there. So, I flew home after my contract, and have been in Wilmington NC ever since. I dont miss travelling one bit.
That's my life right now. Joy.
Now, I have spent the past 8 years developing a business and obtaining work contracts with EU, SK, Singapore, and Japan teaching ESL. I don't know if you know of black pink, but I was their music producers ESL teacher, and I was the SK govern. VP of Technogym and Infrastructure as an ESL professor. I teach kids and adults, no its not an online ESL job, I have contracts with other businesses, like Samsung - they send their workers to a team of people if they cannot speak English well, make them take the TPEIC exam, and if they fail, I get like 3-5 of them, for a month or two. I also have a huge bank of ESL students over 5000 students every 6 months. This contract goes until May 15th, 2027. No, I am not paid in Asian money, the company I work for is on the NYSE called "EDU" and the other ones are contracts I got to help businesses be able to travel abroad. No it is not Chinas "business English" and it is not centered in China, it is SK, PH, and JP. Oh, and last year I taught the Paris 2024 Olympians (4 of them), that was cool. It was just 1 month, but it was fun. I got to tag myself with it in an email. it is much harder and have IELTS requirements which I am trained in doing Also teach the GRE/TOEIC/TOEFL/etc.. as a course that lasts 6 months. Students still need to retake it like 4 times, so I don't know how worthy I am of their acceptance. HAHA!
I vape, but not smoke cigarettes, and don't want those around me. I don't mind a little beer or wine, but I am definitely not a party frat boy POS. so, if you are in college and not studying a PhD or Masters, or are not a professional, do not pick me.
I also make koi fish inside the house waterfall thingies.
I am ridiculously clean, so if you don't wash your dishes and put them in the dishwasher right away? And wash your clothes regularly, and spit all over and break things every 3 months, then I am not your roommate, Frat Boy, again, damnit!!
Sorry for the requirements, I live in Wilmington and it sucks here. Also, I would prefer if we hang out for a bit like 2-3 days or something. We can throw down a little, I don't care. And I don't care how much you drink, just don't invite many people over to stand around and play glow sticks.
I will probably cook everyday, and I clean up right away. I BBQ like a pro (sometimes, my marinades are funky and too thick.. cool thing, I like smoking "it" outside. Cool thing, I get paid to game in crypto sometimes, not much but like maybe after holding once I got 600$ whatever, and yes they are steam games, for a coin called NEOXA, I also have nodes on my MSI, with a 4070 RTX GFORCE GPU, and 15 TB, on the newest i7.
Also, if you can be cool, and chill, and travel with me to like Asheville for camping or waterfalling, or anything like that, it would be cool too. that would be cool too. I do tend to keep to myself mostly, since I am busy all the time.
