PORTLAND ROOM FOR RENT IN 2 BEDROOM APT - $750 (TEMP TILL MAY)

We are a friendly, married, middle-aged couple (plus one small, happy, well behaved dog & one elderly, timid cat) seeking a housemate for our 2 bedroom apartment in a new building on Marquam Hill. Very close to OHSU and Vet's Hospital.
You would have your own bedroom and your own PRIVATE bathroom. And across the way is a lounge with free coffee, fridge and TV plus a small but well-equipped fitness center. Marquam Nature Preserve is just a couple of blocks away and has wonderful hiking trails. The neighborhood is mostly residential (and safe -- I've lived here for 10 years with no problems). There is a Plaid Pantry, a Thai restaurant, a food cart, and OHSU is right down the street.
We are pretty mellow and quiet people who enjoy being creative and watching movies. The building itself is pretty quiet. Occasionally on weekends there will be some outside noise: people getting home from partying, that sort of thing. And there are lots of dogs around.
The house is LGBTQ friendly, open to all genders, and “cannabis friendly.” No smoking allowed indoors but vaping is OK. We would prefer a respectful, responsible and (reasonably) quiet housemate and we promise to treat you respectfully and to cooperate to make this a harmonious situation for everyone. The apartment works best for someone who has minimal possessions, as the living room and kitchen are fully furnished. Washer & dryer in apartment. Wifi. Room is 10'X 10' and is carpeted. Just to be perfectly clear: the apartment is FULL. Everything you bring MUST fit in your own room. We keep the apartment clean, but it's cluttered. If you are a super neat freak, this might not be the right situation for you. See the picture of the kitchen after a day of use. If this freaks you out, don't bother.

Please note, you would need to be screened by the management before being added to our lease. Yes, there is an application fee: $45

ADDENDUM: We are moving out in May, so situation is temporary, unless you want to take over the lease. We just had to kick out a roommate from hell, so we are a little "roommate shy," but can't afford the rent by ourselves. That said, because of recent occurrences, we want some personal references- preferably from your current situation. Absolutely no tobacco smokers. Last guy promised to smoke outside, but smoked in his room anyway. Room is for ONE adult only. No more pets are allowed. MUST have steady income. Utilities are extra.
