Looking for one roommate to share a 2-bedroom 1-bathroom apartment in UES on the 5th floor of a pre-war walk-up building (no elevators). It is located on East 70 & 1st Ave and within walking distance to Central Park, East River, other smaller parks, supermarkets (Trader Joe's), laundry mats, USPS, FedEx, UPS, restaurants, cafes and other amenities. The MET museum and Guggenheim museum are also in close proximity. The closest train lines are the Q and 6 and many bus lines.

The apartment has two bedrooms with doors i. e. no flex room, and a large living room and kitchen. The room will be unfurnished and includes wifi and heat, but does not include utilities e. g. electricity, and gas (electricity and stove gas are usually between $70-$80 a month to split) One-month security deposit and first month's rent are required to move in(sorry, no guarantors accepted) Move-in date is August 15th (can be flexible). I am looking for a clean, tidy and respectful roommate. No laundromat in building (I use one across the street from 1st ave)

I am a male in my early 30s and I work 9-5PM schedule in healthcare. I’m friendly, sociable and enjoy an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle. I am originally from Morocco/Spain and I moved to New York let’s say about 4 years ago. I like playing guitar with friends, cooking, reading, swimming. I also love traveling and have been to many countries and experienced different cultures.

An ideal roommate would be another working professional who is reliable, independent, does not work from home, preferably working night shifts, and has international living experiences. I respect the personal space of my roommate and expect the same. Non-smoker only (have no problem if you can smoke outside). No live-in significant others or frequent sleepovers. Personal and financial references will be required for consideration.

N. B: since this is an employer based leasing office. Thus, I will only be able to keep the place if I am still an employee. you’ll be subleasing from me with a clause that says :
“The lease may be terminated if the original lessee is no longer employed by *****. In such an event, the original lessee must provide the sublessee with one month's notice prior to termination”
