I recently graduated with my Master's degree and started a job in midtown a few months ago. I'm looking to relocate to Brooklyn to be closer to work. I am a landscape architect and ecologist, so I love hiking, plants, and generally being outdoors. I will be working in my office in Manhattan typically half the week, and might work from home 1-2 days a week. I love music, and am regularly attending concerts - mostly jazz, prog rock, and alt-rock. I also love comedy, so I'm excited to be in Brooklyn where there are tons of great comedy clubs. In general, if it's a nice day I hope to be out and about, seeing as much of the city as I can.
I'm a neat and organized person, and will always make a conscious effort to keep shared areas clean. I rarely leave the kitchen after a meal without doing the dishes and like to do at least a quick tidy of my whole apartment once a week. Having lived with some loud roommates in the past, I value the quiet and am very aware of my own volume. I respect others' boundaries and preferences, and I'm more than happy to adapt to different lifestyles and schedules. I'm quite content keeping to myself but happy to socialize when we're up for it!

Nestled on a quiet, tree-lined residential street between Bedford Ave and Franklin Ave on Prospect Place, you will be close to countless food, transit, and entertainment options. Rooms 1, 2, and 5 are available (see layout plan). The rooms are open to anyone and everyone, though preference is given to young working professionals. No pets. No smoking.
The new lease starts on November 1, 2024 and will extend 12 months through October 31, 2025. Rents are:
- $1,250 for room 1
- $1,300 for room 2
- $1,200 for room 5
Utilities (electricity, gas, and internet) are split evenly between the 5 roommates. The individual utility cost has never exceeded $100 and has been as low as $50.
Each room has a closet, large windows providing ample natural light, and hardwood floors. There is space in each room for at least a bed, dresser, small desk, and miscellaneous additional furniture.
The common area has already been mostly furnished by the current tenants, including a couch, TV, food storage, and tons of plants! There are 2 bathrooms in the apartment, one shared by bedrooms 1 and 2, the other slightly larger one shared by bedrooms 3, 4, and 5. The kitchen has a dishwasher, plenty of storage, and shared dishware. There is central heat/ac and laundry in the basement.
During our time living here there have been no major problems with the building, but when issues do arise maintenance requests are quickly completed. The neighborhood is safe, the apartment is secure, and all other tenants in the building are quiet and friendly.
The landlord requires the following conditions be met in order to rent any of the available rooms:
- Must have good credit score with no accounts with late payments
- Must have NO criminal or court record
- Must have income 2x their rent share
- Can pay deposit ASAP and First Month’s Rent upon lease signing
- Only one renter per room
The 2 current tenants (Keenan and Quinn) continuing their lease are both men in their late 20’s. We are clean, quiet, and respectful, and expect any new roommates to be as well.
Please contact the current tenants with questions and to chat to determine if we’re a good match! Once we determine that everyone wants to move forward, we will give you information on how to submit an application online with our landlord. If you meet the requirements listed above, it will be a fast and easy process!
