I am looking for a roommate to move into the second bedroom of my kick-ass Bushwick apartment. You would have a giant room on the opposite side of the apartment with your own on-suite full bathroom with your own shower. It is a 2 bedroom apartment with pretty much everything furnished and a massive private patio (like 200sq ft) on the 5th floor in an elevator building. My roommate is moving out June 1 and the apartment is too sweet to give up so I am looking for someone chill who is clean and respectful but also down to have some drinks and cool with living with my dog (a badass little border collie/pitbull mix) that is extremely well behaved and never barks/chews/drools/etc. I promise, you will come to love this dog probably more than me.
About me:
I am 30 (instagram @c_preftakes and linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cpreftakes/). 3 years ago, I was living in Seattle and decided to quit my job at Boeing, sell everything that didn't fit into my car, and take a road trip across county. I landed here in NYC and have been here ever since. I have been working at the same real estate firm since arriving and I am now a Sr. Manager of finance. I work a lot these days so I like to keep it quiet on the weekdays.
On the weekends, I am usually taking the dog up to Harriman State Park or out to the Catskills hiking during the day and having some drinks by night. I'm a huge fan of all outdoor activities (hiking/camping/climbing/kayaking, etc). I went to school in Montana so I could do as much outdoor activities as possible. I just bought a SUP so excited to get out this summer.
I was a cook and a bartender all throughout college so I love a good mixed drink. I am 420 friendly but am a hard-working professional so am by no means a stoner. Let's see... other than that, I am a very clean person in general. We would have our own bathrooms so no need to worry about that. I rarely have a dirty dish in the sink (just throw it in the damn dishwasher). I am really into woodworking and I built a lot of the furniture in the apartment (record player stand, coffee table, etc). When I visit my parents up in NH, I always try to work a little in my dad's woodshop.
I don't currently have a girlfriend but who knows when that will change. Even when I had a girlfriend in the past, I never put any of my roommates in a situation where they felt like my girlfriend was a roommate. That is actually a pet peeve of mine and I am looking for someone who respects my living space as much as I respect theirs.
Other than that, I am a musician (was in a jam band, a punk band, a classic rock band, and several others), an artist, a traveler, and like to read/watch movies. I have a bunch of vinyl records that you would be totally free to listen to. I also am into fixing up old motorcycles. I have a 1976 BMW R90 that is up in NH right now. Also, every year, me and some buddies pick a destination either abroad or in the states, rent motorcycles, and do a week-long motorcycle ride/camping/hiking trip. Last year it was Morocco and this year was southern Utah.
If you are interested in meeting up for a drink or want to check out the place, let me know.
