Hi – my name is Patty and I am originally from Long Island, NY but recently moved here from CA to help out my aunt. My friends would describe me as easy going, independent, and intelligent. I have a great love of animals and have three dogs and a horse. Most of my free time is either spent at the barn with my horse, taking care of my dogs, or spending time with my aunt. I will also relax at home when I have time by reading or maybe watching some TV.

I am a professional and work from home in the office at the back of the house. My schedule is going to the barn most mornings then working from mid-morning to 8 or 9 at night. Most mornings I am up before 7AM and heading to bed by 10-11PM. I am not a morning person, therefore, please do not expect me to have an intelligent conversation with you first thing in the morning.

I like to keep the shared common areas such as the kitchen pretty clean. I like everything to be wiped down after cooking and dishes put in the dishwasher right away. I would prefer a roommate that picks up after themselves, although everything does not need to be perfect. I do have three dogs so my biggest cleaning challenge is keeping up after the fur. I try to be considerate and would expect the same from a roommate.

I am fine with having people over as long as we discuss beforehand. My dogs are friendly with people that they know, however, they are not always the best with strangers. Therefore, I like to know ahead of time so that I can make sure that the dogs do not cause any issues. I rarely have people over except for my aunt occasionally and maybe another family member that is visiting and I would always discuss ahead of time.

Very loud noises grate on my nerves, therefore if you like to listen to music or TV loud in the house, we will probably not be the best fit. However, music or TV being played at a lower volume does not bother me. I also do not tolerate drugs. Drinking is fine as long as it is not excessive. Smoking of cigarettes is fine as long as it is not in the house. If dog fur bothers you, my home may not be the best place for you. Most other things can be discussed and an agreement can be reached.
