A bit about me: I have an odd and generally messed up sense of humor. I enjoy cooking/good food, travel, cars, good bourbon, and cigars. Recently started to enter the crypto rabbit hole and that’s been a lot of fun. Love good banter and a cheeky pint. Generally pretty chill and agreeable.

Why I am looking for a roommate: Living alone has made me realize that I miss having a roommate. It’s fun! The place is over 1800 sqft. It’s also going to be weird having so much space to myself. There’s more than ample breathing room for two people. It isn’t going to be close quarters.

I’m not an extrovert, but I still enjoy being sociable. I enjoy cooking, but I don’t do it as often as I’d like because I end up with too many leftovers. Enjoy the spontaneous shooting the s**t/good banter, hard to play trivia alone. Drinking alone isn’t as much fun and sometimes kinda sad. I’m doing a nice AV setup in the living room, and it’s just not as much fun to watch everything alone.

Work: I do accounting advisory work for one of the Big4. I WFH most of the time and will be turning one of the bedrooms into my office. If you’re WFH as well, don’t worry: Bedroom 2 will be my office/study. Bedroom 3 (I.e. the one you’d find yourself in)

Cleanliness: I find clean spaces relaxing. I’m usually good about keeping bathrooms, kitchens and common areas clean, but not perfect. I recently decided to have a housekeeper come over once a week to keep things tidy. That will continue, so there will be a good baseline level of cleanliness. If you’re a neat freak, that’s fine. Motivates my own cleanliness. I don’t mind a little messiness, but so long as you’re not at like…neckbeard levels, we should be fine.

Location: It’s a brand new townhouse in a new development in Mesquite called Iron Horse Crossing. Groceries, restaurants, etc. all within walking distance or a 2 minute drive. 20 minutes to downtown/Dallas proper, 20 minutes to UTSW, 30 minutes to DFW. Most any of the suburbs to the north or in the mid cities are in the 30 minute range. In that respect, it is a deceptively convenient location.

Parking: two car garage. I’m going to have Level 2 EV charging for me. If you have an EV as well, I’m sure we can come to some kind of arrangement.
