Olá, tudo bem! "Hey, how's it going!" My family is originally from Brazil, and that is a common friendly greeting in Portuguese. My name is Cecilia, but everyone calls me CC. I'm from Boston, MA. I am trying to move to NYC for a changeup, like many of you probably are too! I'm a recent graduate from Wellesley College in Massachusetts with a degree in Psychology and Africana studies. But don't worry, I won't try to psychoanalyze you (lol).
I'm 24 years old and will be working as a Scribe-Researcher's Assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery on the UES. I have a small ESA (emotional support dog), and she is the friendliest and most loving 12-pound pup. I know I'm biased, but everyone says the same since she loves meeting new people. She is done growing and miraculously rarely barks (ikr!) Since she is an ESA, by law, buildings are required to allow them into apartments regardless of whether they are pet friendly or not.
I am looking for a roommate to share a home with who respects the importance of communication! I don't like bad blood, but I am not afraid of confronting the problem at hand. I believe that can help detriment a roommate relationship when they cannot share how they feel. I hope to be friends! That doesn't mean I feel the need to go out all the time with them, but I would like to build a relationship with them. I am friendly to recreational drug use, but I won't be able to participate. LGBTQ+ friendly as well.
My boyfriend, who is an MIT alum, works in finance in Midtown East. I would not be expecting for him to be the "third-roommate," as I want to respect the space as much as possible so that you feel comfortable in your own home!
Fun facts about me are that I babysat for Tom Brady's kids, speak three languages (Spanish), and love to go to Hip Hop/Heels dance workshops. I also used to sing opera (but I won't be doing any of that in our apartment).
I'm excited for the coming adventure and hope to hear from you soon :)
