Large Sunny Private Room Greenpoint

Hi, I'm a professional artist and I have a spacious, well lit, 4 room railroad apartment with a full-sized bathroom in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, 10 minutes walk from Williamsburg, and 5 minutes from Long Island City. I am renting out an airy large room for One person, No Couples. It's a beautiful room, the largest in the apartment. It has a closet, large black lacquered cabinet, desk, chairs, tables & there are 2 windows for air and light. It is a 3rd floor apartment 2 blocks from the East River, on a quiet side-street and a View of the Upper East side from the Kitchen and bathroom. The building does not allow pets. It is available Dec 15. Your room has a Southern exposure. Notice the first pictures with the Red Wallpaper and mantle on one wall. I have 12 foot ceilings & it is fully furnished. It is for One person, only. You will have to be a reliable person with an existing full-time Job. I prefer to know your schedule, too, so I can show the paintings in the apartment to collectors from time to time. The $800 rent, includes the rent, gas, Con Ed, Time Warner Cable, high-speed WiFi, and dust removal, as I have allergies, and use some professional cleaning. There are No Other Roommates. In addition, I am asking for $400 refundable deposit (you get a receipt) in case you move without notice and I have to advertise, and your deposit will be reimbursed when I find a new room-mate. I cannot rent to someone who wants a home office all day, or studies all day at home, or is generally a Home-body. It will work out Better for someone who works full-time and has a busy social life, and does not bring random strangers home. No heavy drinking or drug use, please, because I want to feel safe.
I'm an easy-going, private, quiet and discreet person, and am looking for the same. I need someone who has a full and busy life and is able to get up and leave quietly if I'm sleeping. Coming in late is NOT a problem. There is a door to your room, and I have a canopy and curtaining around my bed, as you would walk through my room. The rugs are thick so it is quiet and I don’t have a problem with noise. I have a step-up bed with curtaining creating a hall-way through my room. I have a work station in the kitchen, and do not need to use my bedroom until midnight or later, and then I quietly read and sleep. The place is large, so it feels private and peaceful, especially with fans, humidifiers, and my white noise.
Your personal stuff will never be touched and I expect the same in return. It’s elegant, cozy, & always clean & it is an amazingly quiet neighborhood, on a side street with no loud traffic noises. So, for the right person, it could work out very well! I look forward to meeting you It's a very safe neighborhood night and day. I have a comfy large Futon-Bed for you. I have plenty of hot water, great warm radiator and humidifiers in the winter, also an air filter. It is elegant and clean, no vermin whatsoever. There is a Laundromat on the corner. No bikes are allowed in the hall or on the front gate. You will get space in the refrigerator, pantry, freezer, bathroom cabinets and shelves. The apartment is LONG, and spacious...big enough that you can forget that the other person is there.
It is a serene and peaceful environment.

I don't have room for more furniture, bed or desk. My futon is comfortable and expensive, extra foam and padding, and everyone loves it. I provide sheets and 2 great pillows. I have found that because of the space there can really be a sense of privacy and comfort, if we have a feeling of friendship and respect.
