I work as a Licensed Insurance Representative Full-Time. I have cats, and the apartment is always kept tidy and clean but I don’t recommend applying if you’re not an animal lover. I have a small dog as well, my dog is never home alone. My dog stays at my aunt's house while I’m at work. My aunt lives around the corner from me, I spend a lot of my time there. My cats are kept mainly at home. I am fine with you having a small dog or a cat, however, I would need to know that they would be comfortable and get along with my pets. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, I will occupy the room in the back of the apartment. There are 2 bedrooms in the front of the apartment facing the street. One is large and has a closet, the other is small and there is no closet. The small bedroom is where my cat's belongings like their litter boxes, cat trees and feeding area are. My mom and brother have moved out of the apartment to live in another state therefore I have a spare bedroom. There is a spacious living room that separates the front of the apartment from the back, the living room leads to the front bedrooms. My room is in the back near the bathroom and kitchen. My mom has 5 cats and I have 5, unfortunately, she is not able to take her cats with her until she gets fully settled and finds a pet-friendly apartment, I will be keeping her cats along with mine until she can take them. My family has lived in the apartment for 6 years, there is carpet that I’d like to have removed in the living rooms and bedrooms. I’d also like to have the shower area in the bathroom renovated as well as I plan on continuing living her for years. The apartment is not renovated by any means (it is definitely a NY apartment) but I’m discussing the renovations with the landlord. I also plan on doing small renter-friendly upgrades.
