I have a private room for rent for a female in my quiet, very clean home in Diamond Bar, starting January 4, 2025. $1200/month, utilities and internet included. I live with my 29-year-old daughter and another 18-year-old, female tenant who is a student at Cal Poly. Only females live in the home.

I am a mom of three adult daughters. Carmen, my adult daughter lives with me, along with an undergraduate student from Cal Poly Pomona. We are a female only home.
Both Carmen and me are psychotherapists. Carmen works in a mental health facility and I work completely online from home. You will know when I am working because the sound machine will be on outside my door.
Your room is bright and cozy with a beautiful view of the mountains.
Although there is central heat and air conditioning, you have a room heater/AC to more directly manage the temperature. We want you to always feel comfortable with the temperature that is right for you. Additionally, there is a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, emergency ladder, and emergency escape ladder in your room for safety. You also have a lock on your door that you can lock from the inside with a turn of the knob, or from the outside, with a key.
You will be using a shared bathroom with our other female tenant. There is a tall shower head in the shower/tub with massage options. Bath towels will be provided for your convenience.
We have a large, four-bedroom home that we would love to share with you. There is a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools you will need to prepare your meals. Additionally, you will have refrigerator and cupboard space, with more storage in the garage.
There is a big comfy couch in the living room where we like to gather to watch movies. In the large, beautiful backyard, we have two fruit trees, a fig tree and a persimmons tree. When the fruit is in season, you can eat right off the tree. There is a picnic table for outdoor meals and a yard swing for relaxation. We have yard games and some handheld exercise equipment for you to use.

Quiet, clean room in cozy home for a female
Welcome to your home away from home. I am so glad that we connected. I am looking forward to your stay and want to make it feel like home. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything that you need or if I can help in any way.
It is important for you know I work from home as a online psychotherapist. I conduct my therapy sessions throughout the day and into the evening. I respectfully ask that you keep this in mind with the volume of your activity in the home, including loud conversations, music, and TV watching. When my sound machine is on outside my door, this is a clue that I am in a session. We will also be very respectful of your need for quiet and sleep. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 10am, unless other arrangements are made.
We are also very environmentally conscious in our home. To this end, please turn off lights when not in use. Additionally, I respectfully request that you are thoughtful of your water usage, not letting the faucet run unnecessarily, and being mindful of lengthy showers.
Although we do have central heat and air conditioning and heating, you will also have a floor portable air conditioner/heater in your room to bring an ambient temperature to your room. I want to make sure that your room is a comfortable temperature at all times for you, in the most environmentally and cost effective way. Do let me know if you are too hot or too cold, and we will adjust accordingly.
I would also like to share my hand-held exercise equipment with you. Take a look at the photos in the listing to see what is available. I know that your job is stressful and that exercise is important for stress relief. Please return the equipment to the designated area when you are finished.
I like to keep a tidy, organized home. To this end, I ask that you clean up after yourself in the common areas and put things away when you are done using them. You will be responsible for keeping your bedroom and bathroom clean and you will be provided with all of the necessary cleaning supplies.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, my adult daughter, Carmen, who lives in the home, is also a psychotherapist. We believe communication is key to relationships. We will be touching base with you to make sure that your stay is meeting your expectations and to discuss any issues related to living together. We want you to know that you can speak up about your needs at any time. We are open to feedback and value your opinion about what we could do to make your stay more enjoyable.
I have two other adult daughter, Kyla, and Kenzie, who have their own homes with their partners. On occasion, they come to visit or for family gatherings. We like to gather for meals, board games, movies, and outdoor eating and yard games. You will always be welcome to join our get togethers.
You will be living with one other female tenant with whom you will be sharing a bathroom.
Please be aware that my renters insurance policy will not cover your belongings, because we are not blood relatives. It is required that you have your own renters insurance.
