I'm pretty laid back when it comes to most things, but I take cleanliness and relative quiet in my living situation fairly seriously, so my ideal roommate won't be an aggressive partier and will help keep things clean, especially in the kitchen. I also draw a firm line about no drugs being permitted in the apartment.
But with those covered, I'm really pretty easy going. I come home mostly to relax/regroup; most of my socializing takes place outside the apartment, and this place isn't really cut out to be a hub of activity. I tend to keep to myself when I'm home and am very respectful of my other roommates' space.
Outside the apartment, I work at an art museum, am pursuing my master's degree part-time, and, in my free time, am a big theater and comedy nerd. Though most of this is currently on hold, under normal circumstances, my nights and weekends would tend to be filled with class, seeing shows, visiting other museums, and performing with my musical improv team.
The other apartment occupant is a recently graduated law student who's working most of the time. We both keep pretty quiet and are happy to keep to ourselves or be more social depending on what our other roommate prefers.

Seeking a new roommate for our three-person StuyTown apartment! The available room is a converted section of the living room measuring approximately 11' x 12'. It has full visual privacy thanks to a "wall" of Ikea wardrobes and bookshelves, which also offer generous storage space. It is not isolated for sound, but my roommate and I spend most of our time out of the apartment or in our own rooms, so the space stays pretty private (the departing occupant can attest to this).
The room comes with some carpeting to meet the building's sound mitigation requirements. Rent, including all utilities (electricity, A/C contract fee, water, heat, gas, and internet), is $1500/month.
The apartment is several floors up in a well-maintained elevator building (with laundry in basement), and includes wifi, kitchen with modern appliances, one bathroom, and air conditioning units in each room.
The single best thing about the apartment is the prime location: StuyTown is beautifully-landscaped with tons of usable green space, quiet, and a short walk from the East Village, Gramercy Park, Union Square, and Flatiron areas. There is easy access to the L, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, and R trains, as well as the M14-SBS, M15/M15-SBS, M23-SBS, and M9 buses (as well as the NYU shuttle bus). It's very easy to get anywhere and there's lots of great spots within walking distance.
The room is available immediately/as soon as it's safe to move, with a lease end date of June 14, 2021. Options to renew would be discussed next spring.
I'm happy to discuss further and answer questions, so please let me know if you're interested. Looking forward to hearing from you!
