I'm a single queer enby working in public health. Non-smoker, kind of a mess in private spaces but as lazy as I am about tidying my bedroom, I'm really into keeping common areas clean and tidy. My prior roommate and I met completely randomly via a Craigslist add on got on great for 5+ years, I'm pretty chill and very introverted.
The room is big and gets nice afternoon sun. My last roommate easily fit a dresser, shelves, desk, and queen-sized bed in the room, it has a large closet, and there's a walk-in hall closet available as well. The room is unfurnished, but the rest of the apartment is fully furnished with all the necessities. Our oven is a normal size (not one of those tiny things you can't fit a full baking sheet in). I'm totally down with sharing utensils and cooking gear, though other than stuff like condiments I prefer we manage our own food (always happy to lend something if needed, though).
The apartment is a two-bed, one-bath on the top floor of a 3-family building. The location is fantastic: it's an easy walk to the 4/5/6 train, laundromat right around the corner (and great pizza!), several good grocery stores nearby, and just a couple blocks to the shopping center with Target, Aldi, Planet Fitness and more! The landlord is a good guy, lives downstairs, and only has the ground-floor unit and our top-floor unit -- no big corporate landlords or management companies to deal with! I've been living here for five years and we've never had any problems with him.
Disclosure: there is some minor water staining on the roof in the available room, but the roof has been patched.
