Isabelle M - $1,500/month

I'm Izzy! My friends and family would describe me as sincere, cheerful, goofy, opinionated, a terrible texter, and a decent storyteller. My dog Max would say I should invest in more dog treats and less shoes. I am currently a beertender and double deck driver trainer in Davis, California, but I am moving across the country this summer to begin my first year of law school at Cardozo. I am looking to move in early-mid August.

In my free time, I like to venture outdoors to hike/backpack, go to bars/breweries, see music shows, play board games, and watch re-runs of Jeopardy, so I can dress up and go out, or vegetate in my PJs, depending on the mood. My waking hours will be fairly normal though (I don't pull zombified all-nighters) and while I enjoy sleeping in on weekends, I don't mind my roommates having guests anytime during the week or even hosting events! Just maybe not during finals?

As for me, I have a longtime friend who lives in Queens and will undoubtedly meet wonderful people at law school, so I expect to have guests but nowhere near constantly. I'm a social person, but I also enjoy my alone time and independence. Also, I have only been to Manhattan twice, so I would love to find a roommate that doesn't mind sharing a meal every once in a while and going out to explore the city with me!

As for the living space itself, I'm cleanest when the people around me are also clean and messiest when the people around me are messy. If anything, my biggest trouble is dishes, but I operate best with an accountability buddy, so it's manageable. My bedroom can sometimes look like a hurricane (depending on my level of stress/impact of my schedule). I do make an effort to keep common spaces tidy, however. I also like to curate a well-decorated and cohesive living space that I'm comfortable having friends and guests be in, so I want my roommate to have that benefit too.

Last, I have a dog Max who I adopted from my grandparents a few years ago. He is a ten-year-old poodle/shihtzu/cocker spaniel mix with a very calm and sociable temperament. He is hypoallergenic (non-shedding), well-trained, well-behaved, and likes to cuddle and be loved on. Exception: sometimes he barks at the pizza guy. He has lived with both cats and dogs with no issues though, so he is ready to cohabitate with your furry friend if you have one.
