Hi, I’m Taryn, and I’d be your only roommate in the unit. I’m finishing my third year at TMU in the social work program while also working in the restaurant industry. This summer, I’ll be working full-time hours 4-5 days a week. My schedule will be a bit unpredictable, though I’m always mindful of others' sleep schedules, so I don’t make noise when coming home from late shifts. I have a very friendly cat who loves to socialize, so it would be great if my roommate likes cats or is comfortable around them—she is quite chatty and will likely want to visit you in your room from time to time.
As a roommate, I tend to keep to myself but enjoy hanging out here and there if schedules align. As for guests, I typically only have friends over a couple of times a month but will always check in with you beforehand. I really like to keep my living space clean and clutter-free, so I’m hoping to find a roommate who prefers the same and is open to sharing weekly cleaning duties. With the restaurant environment typically being super busy and chaotic, I enjoy having a quiet and relaxed home environment to come home to. Ideally, my roommate would prefer the same for their living space.

Fully furnished den available for $1,225 a month (total unit is $2,850). Available short-term with possibility to extend, starting May 1st. First and last month’s rent is required, as well as a $150 key deposit and proof of income. Building is a condo located just north of downtown (Yorkville). Ideal for a co-op student or a full-time onsite working professional. Utilities include wifi and hydro which are split. Wifi is $20 a month each, and hydro is generally $35-$55 each, depending on usage. The den comes furnished with a twin bed, lamp, desk, chair, mirror, and wardrobe. The rest of the unit is also fully furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen, in-suite laundry, and a balcony. The building offers great amenities, including a small gym and a steam room, both of which you’d have access to. The building is a 5 minute walk from Bloor/Yonge Station and Bay Station. No Frills is a 14-minute walk, and there’s a Loblaw’s Independent Grocer that’s just a 5-minute walk.
