Hey, I'm Ally! I'm looking to move to Manhattan or Brooklyn in September (preferably either UWS/UES or below or the Williamsburg area) with a roommate or two. I'd also consider Hoboken, Astoria, or Long Island City.
A little about me:
I dabble in varying creative hobbies at different times, so one night you might catch me at my sewing machine and another carving out linocut prints. I enjoy thrifting, plants, park picnics, climbing, concerts, art museums, and farmers markets. I'm an early bird and don't consider myself a hard partier, more of a drinks + game night kind of person, but I do enjoy the occasional night out! I consider myself a social introvert; The introvert side tends to come out more when I'm at home, but I'd still love to get to know you, have movie nights + explore the city together! I've always appreciated my more social roommates who are willing to rally me out of bed at 9PM on a Friday.
A little about living with me:
I've been working remotely for the past few months and will be returning to the office in October. The job is a regular 9-6, but we have tentative plans to be in the office 2 weeks out of the month and remote for the other 2 weeks, so I'll be working from home half-time.
I have a sweet angel cat named Louis who is impressively chill and may even snuggle you in the evenings while you're watching TV. He's a bit of a freak when it comes to food (everything needs to be stored away at night) and is vocal when hungry, but I'm looking into an automatic feeder to be sure that's not a problem in the morning. Truly, even the cat haters in my life adore him.
I can be messy in my personal space but do my best to be respectful about keeping common areas clean, especially the kitchen and bathroom. I may place the occasional rinsed dish in the sink on a busy morning, but I try to make sure it's put away within a day. I personally am vegetarian (mostly vegan when at home), but I don't mind if my roommates cook whatever as long as it's cleaned up afterward. I've also recently been obsessed with the home-organization side of Pinterest and would love to use some of those ideas in our new space!
I'm looking for someone who is kind, relaxed, respectful of our shared space, and respectful of all guests (LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly). Would prefer fully vaxxed as well :) I'm super into friendly, open communication, so if you have any specific needs or pet peeves let me know! Message me on Instagram @adlyley if you want to chat!
