Hey,
I'm Aaron, a 24-year-old biochemistry graduate student from the Technical University Berlin in Germany. I will move to San Diego because in the winter term in January I will start my semester abroad (2 terms) at UCSD until July. I will take classes in drug discovery. Afterwards, I also plan to do an internship in San Diego to stay for one year or longer. I am currently working at a biotech startup while studying. For my study abroad time, I am looking for friendly, welcome, and social accommodation. I am financially secured by a scholarship. I don't smoke and I like pets.
A few things about me:
Besides studying and trying to be a smart guy, I am very active and social, I go out, and be as much outside as I can. In my free time, I like to do CrossFit about six days a week. I love surfing and went on several surf trips. In San Diego, I'd love to surf more. I am generally open for every kind of sport: Running, biking, football, skateboarding, swimming, climbing, hiking, beach volleyball, spikeball, tennis, golf, Yoga etc.
I have lived in a shared flat for three years now and know what it's like to share and care while respecting personal space and keeping the house clean and tidy. To juggle my sport, studying, and work, I need to be very organized and have been told that this shows how I keep everything organized at home. I prefer an open, social environment with my flatmates on a friendship basis to share activities and help each other. I like to cook together or just have a casual beer/wine after work. I am also open to doing sports together or going out to a club or bar.
Apart from that, I love traveling and have been to quite a few places around the globe, including spots in Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. In the US I was only in Chicago but I am looking forward to see more.
In my experience, when it comes to finding a flatmate, it's nice to find out as much as possible to see if it works out In my experience, when it comes to finding a flatmate, it's nice to find out as much as possible to see if it works out. My Instagram is much more up to date than my Facebook @bcaaronymus. However, I prefer to meet personal in a call to clarify questions and see if we get along.
Cheers
Aaron
