I am looking for a friendly female roommate to share my new 2 bedroom apartment in downtown San Jose, California. I am a native New Yorker who has lived in California for 4 years, and love it. I work in a nearby restaurant, and really enjoy the teamwork. I plan to finish college at some point, so this is a phase, not a career for me. When I do return to school, I may study social work. When at home, I like to relax by watching movies (Harry Potter nerd), and lately I've gotten into simple cooking. I have a boyfriend (he has his own place), a few friends and family in Palo Alto but I would love to meet more people. But I don't like to party much (and the apartment complex has a no smoking rule). I enjoy quiet mornings with coffee, country music on earphones, doing art, going to local sports. I love dogs, and constantly stop people on sidewalks to pat their dogs (a New York habit I guess). Unfortunately I don't have time for a dog of my own -- but I would be very happy if you have one, and I could help. I am discounting the rent because there are 2 bedrooms and I took the larger one. In fact $1400 a month at the Julian is a great deal.

Sunny private room with private bath in luxury downtown San Jose complex
Sunny bedroom with private bath and large closet in 2-bedroom apartment with washer/dryer, new feeling kitchen. Apartment building is very friendly, young feeling, with lots of amenities (pool, gym, roof deck, co-working spaces, dog run, parking). Apartment feels new, excellent kitchen with new appliances, dishwasher, living room is ample, only partly furnished so far. Wifi is included. The building is a short walk to San Pedro square market restaurants, light rail and other public transportation, but there is also parking in the building. Security on staff 24 hours, and recent maintenance request was answered quickly.
