My friend, Roisin, and I are hoping to find a third roommate for an October 1st move in.
We're both current Masters of Applied Theatre students at CUNY. We're new friends, so we'd all be getting to know each other together.
This would be my 9th year in NYC and 7th in Brooklyn. We’re currently interested in living in Brooklyn near Prospect Park, Williamsburg or possibly the Lower East Side.
I’m a barista, teaching artists, and seemingly have 1000+ other jobs haha I am out of the house fairly early in the morning and for most of the day. I’m from Philadelphia and most of my family lives there. I spend many weekends in Philly to hang out with my young niblings. My sister also visits the city from time to time and might spend the night.
If I’m not working at the cafe, I’m probably working on schoolwork or reading for school. I would love to not be locked in my room for the whole day to do these things. I might go to a coffee shop or to the library on occasion, but I’d really appreciate a respectful, quiet common area to read/work.
That being said, if I have free time or want to ignore responsibilities, I appreciate a home community to chat/vent/gossip, watch a movie, or share a bottle of wine with. I also LOVE to cook and bake and LOVE to feed the people around me, so if you like to eat, I’m a great roommate. Other hobbies include going to theatre shows, playing guitar, and listening to Taylor Swift.
I’m very clean and organized in the common spaces and tend to take over a space if I want things a certain way. I’m learning how to set boundaries and have open communication.

We think Amanda’s room is fantastic! But in case you want to see more…
