Here’s a little bit about me: My name is Mike and I am a staff researcher at the UCLA Semel Institute and have been working there for approximately 24 years. I have a doctorate degree and have lived in Los Angeles since 1999.
I work a hybrid schedule with some days at home and others in the office. I like to read, play video games (Civilization VI, Elder Scrolls Online), do watercolor paintings, play tennis or pickleball, and socialize with friends. I enjoy music (usually with headphones on) and the occasional visit to museums as well. I travel for work relatively frequently, mostly within the United States.
With regards to my personality, a colleague described me as a golden retriever: always friendly, easy going, and happy to meet people.

You will love this home! Theisapt is in the Wilshire Corridor and has magnificent 180 degree views of green treetops of Westwood, Bel Air, and Holmby Hills. It's an upper corner unit and has great views from the living room, dining area, and your bedroom. There is a large balcony connected to the living room.
Rent is $2,000 per month + 1.5 month x rent for deposit.
Excellent credit and a clean background check are required.
You would have your own bedroom and private bathroom (it has a sink and toilet but no shower). The master bathroom's shower and bathtub will be shared with you. Your bedroom is a corner bedroom so it's very private and doesn't share any walls with any outside neighbors. There is a lot of closet space.
Everything is furnished except for your bedroom. The apartment has central air conditioning and central heat, dishwasher, a big balcony, 24/7 doormen, two elevators, and a laundry room down the hall.
The location is amazing! It's walking distance from UCLA, restaurants, shops, grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Ralphs), and gyms. This is a great area and we are on the side that includes more professionals and grad students and not the side that has the undergrad forms and fraternities. We are close to the restaurants and shops at Century City mall, only a couple miles away from Google's new offices, and only five miles from the beach!
Centrally located near the 405 freeway, 10 freeway, and a short drive from the 101 freeway. This is a great place to live if you work in Century City, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Culver City, or other cities nearby. We're also close to bus lines, the flyaway bus to the airport, and the new metro station that is being built a few blocks away.
Small dogs may be welcome with the owner's approval. The building has a 20 lb limit for dogs and this unit is unable to accept cats or other animals (because of the owner's allergies).
This is a non-smoking / non-vaping property. The property is not good for anyone who has big parties or does drugs. A good fit would be someone who wants a comfortable and clean home to come home to after work (or works from home) rather than someone who throws big parties.
There is temporarily no parking because the parking garage and pool are under construction so the ideal tenant would not need parking in the near future. Once the construction is over, you would have access to one of the (tandem) parking spots in the garage.
The kitchen has:
- A refrigerator
- Stove top
- Oven
- Microwave
- Dishwasher
- Garbage disposal
The laundry is conveniently located down the hall and is shared by only a small set of neighbors.
The alarm system has a nominal monthly fee but is optional.
