Hi! My roommate and I are looking to fill 2 bedrooms in our 4BR apartment in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan.
I moved to NYC after graduating college and have now lived here for over 5 years. My friend asked me to move into this apartment with her 2 years ago, and we could not help but re-sign our lease again this year, as we have built a fun, laid back dynamic within our chill, spacious apartment.
I am an assistant buyer for a major department store, attend yoga and spin classes throughout the week, and split my weekends between the city and my hometown in RI. My roommate and I spend a good amount of time together yet still provide plenty of privacy to each other. We love drinking wine out on the balcony or venturing out to Brooklyn to find our new favorite pizza place.
We split the costs on all paper products and cleaning supplies, clean up after ourselves, and have a rotating cleaning schedule for each shared area. We grocery shop separately, as my roommate enjoys cooking from time to time, yet I am fairly lazy in the kitchen and prefer to pick up takeout on my way home from work.

Looking for 2 Roommates to Join 4BR Apartment
I have lived in this apartment for 2 years, and my roommate has lived here for 4+ years. There are large windows in every room (except the bathrooms) so the entire apartment is super bright, and there is a ton of space so everyone can have as much privacy as desired. Heat, hot water, and electric are all included in the monthly rent.
There are 3 long hallways, a big balcony furnished with patio furniture, a cute, furnished common area, and plenty of kitchen storage/counter space, as well as a dishwasher. The 2 available rooms are about the same size - one has a giant window with a gorgeous view of the Hudson River, and the other has a nice hallway that gives it even more privacy, as well as a large closet. We are in a corner unit on the 14th floor, which means we never hear our neighbors and there is very little street noise. There are 1.5 bathrooms (the half bath does not have a shower), and a large hallway closet that we currently use for cleaning supplies. We pick up after ourselves and generally each clean a different part of the apartment once a week on a rotating schedule. We also have professional cleanings every so often as needed.
Our landlord lives in and works out of the building, and is very caring and kind. The building is fantastic - it is staffed with 24-hr doormen, maintenance, and custodians. There is a package room, a gym, a big, recently renovated laundry room, and in addition to the large private balcony in our unit, there is a second floor deck with a park for kids.
This apartment is truly a hidden gem within Manhattan and we feel so fortunate to have found it, which is why we keep re-signing our lease year after year. As my roommate describes it, it’s hard to find a place in NYC that feels homey, and with the space we have it really feels more like living in a house than a cramped NYC apartment.
