Large Bushwick Apt with Chill Women (Utilities Included)

Hey everyone ☺

I'm Melanie looking for 1 new roommate for my Bushwick apartment.

I’ve been here for 10 years and I love my apartment. I’m 32 social media manager who works from home, and who lives pretty bi-city between D.C./MD and NYC. I love our landlord Ron, and our neighborhood, as it’s very up-and-coming with new bars, places to hang out and cafes. Even during Covid-19, the community has been so chill and embracing and I’m so lucky to live here.

Attached to our building are Brooklyn Whiskey (the café) and Bodeguita (rooftop bar, I go see Luciano for a margarita on Thursdays lol). Plenty of bodegas in the area, and walking distance from Santa Maria Park and other cute quiet areas to just get out of the house. We also have a backyard you can enjoy whenever you want that has a closed gate entrance to ensure safety.

Good eats on Broadway and also on Myrtle right when you get off the stop

We’re under the J/M/Z train, so that’s something I like for people to know; you definitely can hear the train approaching and leaving Myrtle Broadway station. Maybe that’s the caveat? I’m a light sleeper and the train soothes me! But to each their own. However, we’re also 5 blocks from the train and very conveniently placed between Myrtle-Broadway and Kosciuszko stops (I prefer Myrtle-Broadway).

One room available is in the back of the apartment and the other is in the front (with the most privacy in front of the living room, yet right under the train). The people moving in would share a bathroom, as I have one in my room, and the person who decides to move in the back of the apartment will be closer to me.

This a good place for people who like independence but also don’t mind hearing a little music or having guests over now and then, and of course saying good morning ☺. Ron, our landlord, doesn’t live in the building but is very attentive (he came here at like 12am when we thought we smelled gas; he’s a great person). Cigarettes aren’t allowed in the apartment, but the backyard is your oyster.
