We are an easy-going, liberal couple working mostly in the non-profit sector in social justice. I teach ESL weekly, and my husband, Tony, is the outreach director for a human rights organization. He also has a local restoration consultant business with a flexible schedule. Some of our many interests include reading, philosophy, spirituality, film, music, art, travel, nature, walking, and yoga. We are seasoned roommates and keep our home peaceful, clean and tidy. This is important to us. We respect each other's space but are happy to socialize, share a cup of tea, movie or chat when conducive; indeed, we are great friends with many of our former roomies. We also keep a quiet space, especially during the day since I also work from home editing or painting. We like to relax with the TV, music, or a good book in the evenings and, of course, hang out with our fabulous cats. I tend to cook most evenings, but like to be done by 7 pm. We love to walk and sometimes hit the local gym. About once a month we visit family in PA, and travel maybe a few times a year, not least to visit my family in England. Back in NYC, we enjoy all the city offers and like to explore museums, parks, concerts, and cafes or visit friends. Friends may drop by once in a while, but we'll let you know in advance. More details are in the ad and we'd love to welcome you to our home if you think you would be a good fit.

We are seasoned roommates and keep our home clean and tidy; we only ask that you do the same. Cleanliness is a requirement.
We have great neighbors in this 3 story walk-up, so the building offers a nice community feel. :) Perfect if you are sociable and love cats! Our home is yours if you want to join our household. Note: Sorry, we cannot accommodate couples at this time.
