Hello, I am a 34-year-old gay man who loves living in Brooklyn. I have a Master's in Public Administration from NYU, and currently work full time in medical education (4 days remote, 1 day in office per week).
Needs for shared space: Because I work from my room the majority of the time, I do need
an environment conducive to focus as well as someone who appreciates the value of personal space. I believe in good communication and mutual respect demonstrated through measured volume and clean habits, although I definitely don't consider myself uptight.
Otherwise, I am a serious runner who enjoys woodworking and picking up new hobbies and getting out of the apartment. I have a huge sweet tooth and do drink in moderation. I am seeing someone, but rarely bring him or other guests to the apartment. However, I always try to make sure guests who do come feel very welcome.
Please feel free to hit me up! I have an opening for June 18th or later!
Zak

Hi everyone,
I'm a 34-year-old gay man looking to fill the second room in my 2-bedroom apartment off the Lorimer L/Metropolitan G stops in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. I recently obtained my my Master's in Public Administration from NYU, I work full-time in medical education (4 days remote in my room, and 1 day in office per week). Also a serious runner runner, budding woodworker, and like to decompress at home in my spare time. Appreciate those who are quiet, clean, and respectful. Although I love animals, the building unfortunately doesn’t allow dogs or cats.
I'm ideally looking for someone around my age who doesn't bring the party home, and is clean, responsible with rent, and good at communicating. The building is smoke-free.
The room: 11’2.5” x 11’8”, and bright with has two windows that face the street below. It includes a large built-in closet with two shelves, and a hardwood floor. It is also fully furnished with a bed, side table, shades, a desk and chair, a bureau, a Roku TV, and an AC unit. You are at the other end of the apartment from me, and have plenty of privacy.
The apartment: Fully furnished, recently renovated 2-bedroom on the second floor of a 3-story converted house. Everyone in the building is very friendly and conscientious. The backyard is technically open to everyone, although you would need to coordinate with the downstairs neighbors to get to it. I have lived here for about 8 years, and can assure you that the landlord is attentive and very kind.
Utilities: Not included. We have Spectrum, National Grid, and Con Edison. They typically come out to around $90 -- $110 per month, which I would cover and then bill you for around the 10th of each month.
Deposit: First month's rent.
The area: Tree-lined and very quiet, it consists mainly of families. It's well within distance of great shops, grocery stores, restaurants/bodegas, bars, and parks (like the McCarren Park Track!). The building does not have a washer/dryer, although laundromats are located throughout the neighborhood.
Transportation: The Lorimer L train station is about a 3 -- 5 minute walk. Other services include bus lines just around the corner, the Hewes JMZ (10 minutes away), and Metropolitan G (3 blocks away).
If this feels like a good fit, feel free to hit me up to schedule a viewing!
Thanks,
Zak
