I am an NYC-local, social work graduate student at Hunter (into manga, geology, brazilian jiujitsu, board games, making art, and dancing/mixing) and my roommate is a software engineer (spends most of his time working and at the gym). We are both in our 20s, are very easy going and only care about keeping the common spaces relatively tidy.
We are friendly but we would generally keep to ourselves since we're both quite busy. We spend most of our times in our rooms or outside the apartment.
We do what we can to make our home cozy. We have a nice living room connected to a full kitchen with a large kitchen island that's great for prepping food. The bathroom is nice and newly renovated with a glass standing shower. We also split up chores, but whether you participate in that is up to you.

The apartment is about an 8 minute walk to Columbia's main campus and is 2 blocks from Morningside Park and 5 blocks from Central Park North. It's close to a bunch of cute coffee shops, libraries, restaurants, bars, and clubs, but is off the main street so generally very quiet at night. It is 4th floor walk up (so 3 flights of stairs).

The third room in the apartment is quite small but fully furnished with a twin bed (very comfy mattress), desk, side table, small but deep closet with built in shelf, clothing rack for extra clothes, lamps, LED light strips and air conditioning (see pictures).
The one downside we'd like you to be aware of is that the window is facing another building so the room gets limited sunlight at certain parts of the day. The room is an ideal fit for someone who is looking for something on the cheap end in a very nice and convenient area (very close to Columbia University and sandwiched between two beautiful parks), and perhaps doesn't spend a ton of time at home (due to a job, school, or partner) like myself and my roommate. In any case, the kitchen and living room would be completely available to you to hang out in for some extra space, and if you like to cook we should cook together!
Looking for mature, kind, and communicative people. Open to all genders, and would love to have someone else who is queer and or gender fluid.
Please contact me thru DM if you have any questions, would like to see the space, or get to know me or my roommate better!
