Fabulous apartment in the heart of Little Italy

Fabulous apartment at the intersection of Little Italy and Chinatown - border with NOLITA and SOHO. Minutes (walk) away from 3 different subway lines. The apartment is a 5 floor walkup. None of the rooms are facing the street so it is quiet. I am looking to rent out my smaller room - which fits a Queen bed, and 2-3 other pieces of small furniture. It has a full-sized closet with above storage space. It is currently furnished in the pics with my stuff, but you can decorate/furnish/change it however you want to suit your needs and style! I'm also willing to rent out the larger room instead which has a TON of closet and storage space, which is $2000 (I can send pics of the larger room if interested, the ones on the site are for the smaller room which is $1800).

The living room has exposed brick and the apartment is a true 2 bedroom where the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment. There is a full kitchen with lots of cupboards and even a dishwasher! There is one bathroom (shared with me) and the apartment is furnished but bedroom is unfurnished.

However, if you want the room furnished, I can arrange that, but will cost more (we can discuss). I’m from New York and have lived in this apartment for almost 3 years and love it. I paid a lot of money to secure this place through a broker when I first moved in, as the building is VERY well managed and maintained and family-owned so free from being corporate-ized and in an absolute ideal location with a legit size. The supers are great, so is the landlord (everyone’s right next door).

This is my home and have no plans to leave it, but can't afford it on my own so looking to rent out the smaller room. We split the rent and utilities and internet 50/50 (utilties + internet add up to ~$100 max, each in total per month), and it's two months security to move in ($1800 x 2). My landlord manages all of the logistics/paperwork for this, not me. My roommate is (sadly) leaving to find a place on his own with his family.

I’m low key, clean but not a neat freak, I’m cool with hanging out (or not if you don't want to), and have a busy active life with a few nights in each week. I am looking for someone to take over my roommates part of the lease beginning February 1st, but open to short-term rentals as well. If you're looking for long-term, the lease is one year with option for renewal. I’m a working professional in the international development/research world.
