I'm Ali (she/her) a 26-year-old playwright, screenwriter, and copywriter. I work full-time as a copywriter on a hybrid schedule, so I'm in the office for a good chunk of the week.
Although I'm aiming to become more of a morning person, I'm a night person, so because of this and my occasional work in theatre, I sometimes get home a bit late, but try to be quiet when I arrive. I've lived in New York for around 9ish years and am always searching for parks, cafes, and other nice places to hang out and write. I love food and enjoy cooking (sometimes), and spend many weekday evenings catching up on TV, going to see a movie at the nearby AMC, or relaxing in my room or the living room.
I don't have parties here, but I do like my apartment to be welcoming and enjoy having a friend or two over every now and then for dinner or to just hang out. I'll always check in with or notify a roommate if someone's coming over.
I am responsible, generally neat, and like to keep my space clean, but I wouldn't describe myself as a "neatfreak." Keeping my home a relaxed, communicative, cooperative space is important to me.

Hi! I have lived in this wonderful Upper West Side/Lincoln Square apartment—which has a huge kitchen and an incredible location just a block from Central Park—for 2 years. My roommate has decided to move out, so I'm looking to fill the bedroom for a 1-year lease beginning on July 1st.
I'd prefer a roommate who is a woman. I'm looking for someone who also likes their home to be clean, welcoming, and friendly.
The bedroom has a large window that lets in great light, a closet (which can fit a small dresser), and is big enough to fit a queen-sized bed and some other furniture (she had a desk, nightstand, and standing mirror). It is unfurnished, but there are a few pieces of furniture currently in there that are negotiable/available for you to use.
I love to have a cozy, personal, and decorated living space that's welcoming for friends to come hang out and also a good place to relax, read a book, or watch a movie. The living room is furnished; I have a comfy couch, large dining table, bookshelf, and more in the living room, but there's also plenty of space for you to add your own art/things and make the space yours too!
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a TON of counter space and storage (I literally use one cabinet for random extra storage like tools and an air mattress). It's the perfect space for anything from dinner parties to meal prep. There's a window in the kitchen area that's helpful for ventilation. The bathroom also has a window and is pretty spacious as well (my friend describes it as her favorite bathroom in the city lol).
The apartment is on the fifth floor of a walk-up building just around the corner from the 1 train, a short walk to the 2/3, A/C, and B/D trains, and several bus stops. It's also just a block or so from Sheep Meadow in Central Park and Lincoln Center. There's a farmers market and flea market every Sunday outside the Museum of Natural History just a 10-15-minute walk away and a smaller farmers market right across the street on Thursdays and Saturdays. There are several grocery stores within a 10-minute walk, including Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Jubilee. You can get pretty much anywhere in Manhattan within 30 minutes on the subway or even on foot.
The rent will be $1962.50 per month plus around $70 per month for WiFi, gas, and electric (heat & hot water are included).
