The room is in a five bedroom house. I do not live in the house but tay there from time to time to do repairs and clean out rooms for new tenants to move in. Right now there is one woman and 3 men who live in the house. All are over 35 years old. The ideal roommate is quiet and no drama. People are expected to not be alcoholics, illegal drug users or even cigarette smokers. MJ is OK but no smoking inside the house. Everyone is friendly and we sometimes celebrate holidays and birthdays together. A nice veggie garden is in the back yard and we almost always have tomatoes, chives, blackberries and figs. Tenants are encouraged to grow their own plants in the garden.

Available Dec 16: Large furnished room downstairs in a single family house for $450 plus $100 for utilities (including wifi). Share a large 2000 sq ft single family house with hardwood floors and ceiling fans. Private room, sharing a bath (two full baths). A large front porch has a dining table and grill for outdoor entertaining. Rooms have high ceilings, crown molding, and are generous in size. There is a living room with two full-size couches, a dining room, and a large, fully-equipped kitchen. The bedroom is upstairs and has a Queen-sized bed, chest, desk, desk chair, and bookshelves. The house is furnished including tables, chairs, kitchen equipment, couches, and a movie collection. Presently, we have an Entrepreneur, Interpreter, Chef, and a Businessman who live here. It is a quiet household but we have fun too, especially chatting around the dining table or out on the front porch. Washer and dryer available, no quarters needed. Vegetable garden with tomatoes and blackberries. Located near Rhodes College and Overton Park and the bus line on Jackson Ave or Vollintine makes it convenient to get to hospitals downtown (great place for medical or dental students or hospital employees). Great for Rhodes College, medical and dental professors, or students. Bike to Rhodes. Ten minutes to the University of Memphis or downtown/hospitals by car. Locked bicycle space. Move-in costs are first and last month's rent and utilities plus $100 security plus $100 application fee. Rental can be made weekly in order to lower move-in costs. Weekly is $150 each week (rent & utilities) and to move in you must pay both first and last week's rent, $100 security and a $100 application fee (a total of $500). If paying monthly, the move-in cost is $100 application fee, plus $1100 ($100 security fee can be tacked onto the second month of rent).
