Me: I live in the first-floor of a two-family home and the person that lives upstairs is the sister-in-law of my landlord. She is just as sweet. I’m originally from the southwest and have lived in the city for 16 years. I’m a clean, young-ish professional (37), and have been told I have an interpersonal personality. I love to garden, go out for a drink, enjoy the movies, and hike. I’ve worked in higher education for the past 14 years and I love what I do. I can become burnt out from my job, but love the spontaneous outing for a drink or dinner. One morning on the weekend I’ll allocate to do the weekly chores. If you want to know anything more, please send me a message.
Pets: Whomever is interested cannot be allergic to dogs or dislike them.
-Basil: I have a 7 month Bernedoodle named Basil that will be neutered come March and is currently wrapping up his potty training. He can become overexcited when meeting new people or when people come over. In other words, he jumps, but I’m working on it. He mainly hangs out in the dining and living room. We have a gate to keep him out of the kitchen/bathroom/your room. Since he’s a mix between a poodle and a bernese mountain dog, we can’t be sure if he’s 100% hypoallergenic, but I can confirm he’s a light shedder. They look like black fur balls and don’t really stick to clothes.
-Newton: I also dog sit for a Scottish Terrier named Newton for most of the Summer and at various times throughout the year. The terrier is VERY friendly and well-trained. Plus he’s hypoallergenic and doesn’t shed.

Room: is not furnished; however, I have a queen size bed frame and side table that can be borrowed while you are here. There is also a medium size closet. This room is big enough to fit a queen size bed, side table, dresser, and desk/chair. There are two doors, one leads to the main door and the other the bathroom. The last two tenants only used the door that lead to the bathroom and had some furniture blocking the other door. I can adjust the foyer if you choose to arrange your room differently.
Property: is very well kept. My landlord is amazing and so sweet. He lives a few blocks away and is retired - can be at the apt within minutes. I have lived here for almost five years now and love it! The place has a washer/dryer in the basement, garbage disposal, dishwasher, oven/stovetop, microwave, and fridge. Storage is available in the basement and there is a patio with furniture. Besides the bedroom, the place is 100% furnished by me, but we can integrate anything you have. Lastly, there is street parking only.
Location/Area: is directly behind Davis Square in Somerville, a 7-10 min walk to the Red or Green line, and there are bus routes at the end of each side of Simpson Ave. I work in Back Bay of Boston and it takes me on average 30 minutes to commute. Davis Square has very good restaurants/eateries, a candle pin bowling alley, is home to the Somerville Theater, and hosts endless festivities, farmers’ markets, as well as flea markets. There is also two grocery markets and several specialty stores. Tufts University is 5 min away, where you can play tennis or run/walk on the track field.
