Available Room for Rent

Two rooms available in big house in Venice - $1600/$1500

So it's a super weird time to be moving, we know. But in case you are we've got a great spot to hunker down and quarantine in style!

We're looking for two fun, responsible roommates to join our lovely house in north Venice. We have two big rooms, both upstairs and fairly removed from the rest of the house. They're available immediately (our two upstairs female roommates picked the WORST time to move out:). The two rooms share a sweet bathroom with a double-headed shower and Jacuzzi tub, and also share a balcony where you can sit back and feel the breeze and watch a million people bike and jog past like we're living in some kind of exercise utopia.

The two roommates need not know each other and individual applicants are welcome for either room, though pairs of applicants may apply as well - in fact if you and a friend are moving together that might be ideal for everyone.

Given the strange time, we'll be interviewing potential roommates via Skype or Zoom. Move-in dates are flexible - just let us know what your timetable is. Obviously, all three remaining roommates are healthy, careful, and taking social-distancing very seriously (as we hope you are too), so you probably won't see much of us during the rest of the quarantine (one guy's even riding this out in Seattle!), but hopefully we'll get to hang more after that. Once we've met, we can discuss the safest and easiest way to manage a move-in so that everybody is comfortable.

OK, now to the logistical part of the post...

The HOUSE
The house is a 4-bedroom, 2-bath, plus a back house/5th bedroom, with a social living area and a very nice kitchen and upstairs bath, and an enclosed backyard with a BBQ, fire-pit, and corn-hole boards. Street parking is generally plentiful on our dead-end street near Lincoln and Rose. Long tandem driveway holds 2 cars plus bikes (one car spot behind locked gate). Also plenty of street parking with no restrictions, other than street cleaning days. Take that, Santa Monica.

THE ROOMS
The larger open room rents for $1600/mo and is approximately 12x18, carpeted, with two good-sized closets. The slightly smaller room rents for $1500/mo and is 14x14, with a good-sized closet. Both open rooms are upstairs and share a large, nice bathroom with a walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub (the other three rooms share the second, downstairs bathroom), and have easy access to the washer/dryer closet, right across from the bathroom.

US
We are:
27 -- male, in PR at a non-profit
24 -- male, finance at a fitness startup
26 -- male, film production

We're all enjoying life as much as possible in Venice while holding down "responsible" jobs. When there's not an apocalypse going on, we're pretty nine-to-five during the week, with the propensity to hit Main Street, Abbott Kinney, or Santa Monica on weekends or the occasional Thursday night. Open to all races/genders - certainly open to more gentlemen, but we just had two longtime female roommates moves out, so happy to welcome more girls as well!

The two owners of the house (brothers) both used to live in the house and are of the same vibe.

YOU
Similar age range, any race or gender, who knows how to balance work and play, is social but can clean up after themselves, and is down to meet some new friends. Other than that. just tell us about yourself! What do you do for fun? For a living? Know people in the area?

LOGISTICS
Besides rent, you'd additionally be responsible for 1/5th of utilities (full cable/DVR, gas, water/electric/heat) which are usually a little over $100 per person monthly. We'll ask for a one-month security deposit, and a 12 month lease (at listed rate, shorter leases available for a fee) which then goes month to month. But of course we hope you want to stay for a while!

Email us if you're interested! Paul, one of the owners, receives and relays the emails.

And thanks!
