I am a 30+, non-binary, multi-disciplinary creative who appreciates the arts, culture, music, and design. Originally from the east coast, I graduated from Columbia University.
I currently work remotely as a Podcast Producer for a CA based non-profit that specializes in food security and nutrition education from a trauma informed lens.
I’m well travelled and have lived in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
Family background is international.
My mindset and intention for a new home is to treat it like a sanctuary. I am personally into flowers and gardening, the beach, nature, spiritually akin to Buddhism (i.e. being conscious of speech, action, etc.), meditation, healthy food (personally don’t consume sugar), healthy living (no drugs, alcohol, or 420).
Sounds like a lot but I’ve been on the other side or lived in some pretty decadent cities and prefer being fully present and engaged in this Life.
I love a good winter soup or stew, adore tea, singing, arts and crafts, a good podcast, self development, or self care (yoga, saunas, hot springs, hiking, nurturing, nature).
For example, I don’t consume traditional media or the news, and haven’t owned a TV for years, so households who need the TV on 24/7 would not be a good match. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy movies, and music but have never been into mainstream culture much.
I work from home (part-time) and often lead team meetings, so prefer general quiet and peace. If you prefer and expect your housemate to be out of the house, then this is not a good fit.
I appreciate thoughtfulness, courtesy, general quiet, neatness (big on that one), and creating a space that feels good to come home to.
Lifestyle wise: I am VERY neat, NOT a fit for homes with animals living inside (due to allergies), drug or alcohol use (including 420), or situations in which the common areas are treated as an extension of one’s private living quarters.
I do best in shared accommodation that is held to an artistic or aesthetic standard.
Thank you for reading this far.
I can provide a recent background and credit check (via Zillow).
