Looking for a roommate in Clearwater-St. Petersburg - Tampa

Kathy M R - $600/month

About Me

fun facts: I love learning languages. I'm learning Korean and Japanese. I read the Bible daily, and I like going on walks. I have a huge heart for the LGBTQIA + community. My friends and I are still saving up money to move out eventually. If September 2025 is not a good time to start renting because you still need to save up money, that is ok.

1. Lifestyle & Daily Habits
- sleep schedule: I work closing shifts sometimes until 10:00 pm, but I go to bed as soon as I get home after these shifts. I'm not much of a night owl. I like to go on walks in the morning.
- work schedule: My work availability is as early as 1:00 pm and as late as 10:00 pm. I am scheduled within this timeframe
- social habits: I prefer to hang out with people at restaurants or parks, but not at home usually, but if you want to hang out with people at home that's fine. I have a boyfriend, but I will not be at home with him unless someone else is there. We're trying to not have sex before marriage. I'm not here to judge people that don't follow that. That's just how I roll. Boyfriends (or men in general) are not allowed to be on the lease, sleep over, or live there while not being on the lease. I want my boyfriend to be at peace in his mind and not have to worry about men living with me. I want to respect him.
- cleaning habits: I tend to be more neat. I would like to have shared cleaning responsibilities. I could vacuum, and you could wash the dishes, for example. We can talk more about these details. I prefer to buy the cleaning products so that they don't have toxic chemicals in them. Normal cleaning products have ingredients that affect my lungs, but I am totally ok with buying the specific brands of the products.

2. Financial Expectations
- rent & utilities: In order to be living there, it is required for your name to be on the lease. Paying me separately is not an option. Rent should be split evenly between however many people are on the lease. Communication about a job loss or getting paid less than originally being paid is expected so that things can be worked out sooner than later and solved so that others aren't affected financially. Things happen, but I'd rather be able to fix the problem than all of us getting evicted lol
- groceries: I prefer to buy my own stuff while everyone else buys there own stuff too. If I make something and I share a bowl of chili for example, I'm not going to be a Karen and expect you to pay me back for that. lol I'm not extra.
- household supplies: I think sharing toilet paper and paper towels is fine, but I definitely want to buy the non toxic cleaning products.

3. Personal Boundaries & Privacy
- personal vs. shared items: We can share dishes like plates, bowls, and cups, but I prefer to not eat or drink from the same bowl/cup as you after you used it. We can share furniture. We can save money buy sharing a dresser for example. My skin care products, dental care, and shower stuff are for me only.
- noise levels – I don't listen to music at a loud volume. I use headphones. I don't stay up watching TV because I try to get as much sleep during the night as possible.
- room access: You can come into my room, but knock first in case I'm changing. Depending on how many roommates there will be to help with lower rent cost, there could be two people per room.

4. Conflict Resolution
- how do I handle disagreements: I gently bring things up nicely.
- house meetings – I am open to having weekly or even monthly check-ins with everyone to see how everyone's doing. If you don't want to, that's fine.

5. Pets & Allergies
- have or want pets? – I don't have any pets. If you have a dog, I'll get used to it. lol I've never had a dog before. I love cats and dogs, but I love cats more which I know is weird.
- any allergies or sensitivities? – I'm allergic to cats but if they eat Purina One Live Clear Allergen-reducing cat food, I'm fine. If you also want to feed your cat wet food in addition to the Live Clear, that is fine. I can pay for the Live Clear cat food since it's my allergy.

6. Lifestyle Choices & Habits
- smoking, drinking, or drug use – Are any of these deal-breakers? I don't smoke because I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and weed. I don't drink because avoiding it helps with looking younger and because alcoholism runs in my family. I don't do drugs of any kind. If you drink a glass of wine every now and then, that's fine, but smoking and drug use of any kind are deal-breakers
- dietary restrictions – I don't have any dietary restrictions, but please let me know of any that you might have so that I don't accidentally give you food that could cause an allergic reaction.

7. Future Plans
- how long do they plan to stay? – I plan to stay until 2026 because my boyfriend and I want to get married next year. If things don't work out between us, then I will still rent in 2026 with you.
- what happens if one person moves out? How will lease changes be handled? - If I move out before 2026, I will get someone to replace me on the lease way before the final day of when I don't live there anymore. I want this to be an expectation for anyone else too so no one struggles financially.
