Hello!
My name is Scarlet. I am a senior studying history at Williams College. I will be interning at the Center for Book Arts from July 5th through August 30th. I am looking to move into the place ASAP / June 10th at the latest.
I am looking for a pro-rate for June and will rent until the end of August. I am looking to pay under $1,300 per month. I love to cook exquisite meals so a solid kitchen space, or roommates who will embrace nightly ornate, elaborate, and involved cooking is necessary. I am happy to cook for others on occasion, or regularly, if compensated. I also cook using local and organic ingredients so access to specialty stores would be a plus! The place needs to be furnished. I would like to have AC. I prefer a washer/dryer, but can work around not having one.
I don't mind a commute of 45 minutes max on public transit or by car (if you have parking that would be amazing!), and an hour walk at most.
I am a half Nigerian, half white girl woman born and raised in Wisconsin so I am a very friendly and everyone-in-the-world-is-my-friend kind of girl. I will talk about anything with anyone and am a very relaxed, laid-back, and dance to the beat of your own drum person. I am certainly not on the New York minute and will spend hours chatting, reading, dreaming, and writing letters in bookstores, stationery shops, museums, bars, archives, and anything related to arts and culture.
I would like to take advantage of the opportunities the city offers whether that be through gymnastics lessons, wrestling, letterpress classes, gallery exhibitions, or getting on the line to gain professional cooking experience.
In high school I received three U.S. Department of State scholarships to studying abroad, and studied Russian intensively for nine months in Moldova when I was 18. I have traveled around the entirety of the continental United States, and to at least a dozen European countries. I am highly independent with a lot of moxie, and am very strong-willed.
If you are a very type-A and ducks in a row person my way of life would probably bother you a lot, but I'm perfect for the right person! My instagram is @scarleterusch if you would like a better feel for my energy.
My maximum monthly budget | 1,300 |

Occupation | Writer / Student |

We think Scarlet would be a great roommate! But in case you want to see more…
