Private Bed and Bath

~ The Space ~
We live in a gated community near downtown Chandler (ZIP code 85224). Our apartment is a 1,200+ sqft, 3bd/2ba unit located on the top/2nd floor (no elevator). The lease is for approx. 12 months. We’ve lived here for over a year. So far, the management and maintenance have been great!

$900/month flat rate (utilities, valet trash, & cable/HBO/internet package included). There’s also a 24-hr gym and pool in the complex. Parking is free and is first-come, first-served. However, there is an option for a monthly reserved parking space or even a garage (unsure of additional fees).

Flexible move-in date.

~ Your Space ~
You would have your own bedroom (fully furnished with new white Hemnes 4-pc) and bathroom (shower/tub). The twin bed converts to a queen (firm mattress). Your room is next to your bathroom (not connected) at the end of the hall. All areas except for the bathroom, laundry room, and kitchen are carpeted.

~ Expectations ~

Sharing space:
We work from home. John works in his office (next to your room).
I spend most of my time in the living room. I watch movies, play video games, do jigsaw puzzles, etc. I welcome you to join me on the couch!

Both John and I are friendly and accommodating people. How we divide and share space is not set in stone. We can work together to figure out what our individual needs are.

Pets:
Our furbaby (senior dog) is a valued member of our family. She roams freely in the apartment (not including your private spaces). We want her to be the only pet in the apartment. We are allergic to cats.

Smoking/Vaping:
We cannot be around marijuana or cigarette smoke. If you eat edibles and whatnot, that’s cool. We’re not anti-cannabis, we just can’t be around smoke.

Guests:
We rarely invite guests over (even before the pandemic). We're relatively private people. If someone wants a guest to come over or stay the night, we will discuss it first to ensure all are considered.

Basics:
We tend to be on the warmer side, so we keep the apartment between 70-75 degrees F.
We do laundry about once a week.
John and I regularly discuss wanting to find a workable meal plan with our InstantPot, but we’re still figuring it out. Neither one of us loves to be in the kitchen.

Cleanliness:
We are a no-shoe home. We even wipe down Izzy’s paws after her walks. John and I are a work in progress when it comes to finding everything a designated place, so our space may be a bit cluttered. We’ll do our best to keep the shared spaces clean & tidy.

Safety:
We always lock the front door, even if we are just checking the mail. This neighborhood is very safe but we are cautious nonetheless. We prefer no guns or other lethal weapons in the home.

Important note:
The pandemic has affected many aspects of our daily lives. We still wipe down our groceries and wear masks whenever we’re out and about. Any visitors we have are tested prior to entering our home. We’ve been adhering to COVID guidelines. Prior to moving in, we will provide and ask for proof of vaccination.

TL;DR
We are offering a private room and bath in exchange for money and dog cuddles.
