We are Dave and Kate Chapple and own our home in Northwest Austin (MoPac and Palmer). We have physical disabilities (Cerebral Palsy) and use power wheelchair and communication devices to communicate. Kate has verbal communication which can be understood when you are familiar with her speech. We both work part-time jobs which we commute and work from home. We have four small dogs who are our fur babies. We have: Jack Russel/dachshund, chihuahua, chiweenie. and our old girl schnauzer poodle (14years)
We both have multiple Caregivers who:are here 8a-11p. . We actually have two caregivers for each shift, one who works for Kate and one who works for Dave. Of course, if one calls in sick or as an emergency our caregivers are able and trained to help us both at the same time. .
What we would like a roommate who would . . .
non-smoking, female is clean, respectful, easy going and likes dogs.
This is a not living caregiver situation however Kate needs someone who will take off her hand brace roughly around 5a or 6a give or take. You would compensate for 7 hours / $20hourly, $560 monthly ( It only takes 5 seconds to take off the brace) In addition,we also could occasionally need you to help overnight. It would be nice to have a roommate who didn’t mind lending a hand if we were short staff. (of course we would pay you hourly/$20 in this event)
A good candidate would be someone who works from home or retired!
In home Accommodations:
Private bedroom and bathroom (shared with day time attendants), Large closet, Bedroom furniture including Dresser and Bookshelf, Use of dishes, bathroom supplies, cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, home phone/fax and use of all appliances.
Rent Agreement:
*$300/Month, due by the 5th of each month
*Rent Penalty of 2% daily after the 5th
*Non-smoking
*All utilities included (electric, water, internet and cable)
*We reserve the right to terminate agreement for any reason
*You as the roommate also have the right to leave at anytime
*Require 2 weeks notice for both termination and wanting to leave
*Rent Must be Paid in Cash and will be provided receipt
*Must like dogs, we have 4!

We have one 13ft by 10 feet room with a 9feet by 2 feet closet with a built in self. The room a cable hookup with a DVR recorder. We have some furniture you could you use: TV stand, small bookshelf with 4 shelfs, 32in flat screen TV.
