Tranquil, light-filled room available in large, fully furnished, book and plant filled apartment on the second floor of a detached house in Sunset Park, with updated kitchen, guest room / office, front garden, back patio, garage, and laundry.

We're a few minutes walk to the express N and local R at 59th St, and close to the Brooklyn Army Terminal, where you can catch the ferry straight to the Rockaways or Governor's Island, yet the block itself is quiet and calm. I've loved living here the past two years --- it's safe and friendly and convenient. In the summer we have barbeques in the back yard with our downstairs neighbors, and there is ample room to add to the (front, side, and back!) gardens if that's your thing.

The bedroom comfortably fits a full bed, small desk, dresser, and bookcase. It has a closet, and a window AC, and two windows, and is in the back of the apartment, so street noise is minimal.

The apartment is well-stocked, although I'm open to more art for the dining room, definitely more plants, and you are welcome to to add to the gardens!

I'm a mid thirties female who works in-office twice a week (I'm a program manager for a food tech company in Midtown) and from home the rest of the time. I have an MFA in nonfiction and worked in publishing for many years. I love reading, writing, museums, photography, baked goods, city-exploring and city-escaping, and Charlotte, my fifteen month old Cavalier King Charles puppy.

Occasionally, I'll have a friend or a small group of friends over, which you are welcome to do as well of course, but my apartment socializing is definitely of the tame variety.

I like to keep my living space clean and calm and hopefully you do as well. We don't have to be best friends, but I'm looking for someone who is friendly, mature, respectful, and okay living with a Cavalier.
