My current roommate is moving out and I am looking for someone to replace them for a second-floor room in the Logan Square/Avondale area. The lease would begin on July 1st.

I keep the place pretty clean and I’m a bit of a homebody, so I’m home at night at least 4 nights a week. I tend to keep to myself and don’t have people over very often (though it’s fine if you do). The apartment is on Lawndale Ave just south of Milwaukee Ave. Three-bedroom, one-bath with a shared washer and dryer in the basement ($2.50 total per wash). I have the main area of the apartment mostly furnished (a few furniture pieces and some of the plants are leaving), and you are welcome to use my TV. If you want to bring some of your own stuff, that’s cool too. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking/eating equipment that you can use (dishware/utensils, coffee stuff, blender, pots/pans, etc.). Central heat, (no A/C so you’ll need a window unit for your room), a 10–15 min walk from the Belmont or Logan Square Blue Line and the Square with all of its cafes and bars. We are also a close walk to the Milwaukee and Diversey buses. Cermak Fresh Market and Binny’s is four blocks from the apartment and there is a corner store on our block if you’re not up for trekking to Cermak. There's also a coffee shop also a two-block walk away. Kosciuszko Park is also two blocks away as well. The apartment also has a storage room which you get ½ of. Pretty quiet block aside from an occasional summer party on the street. No pets are allowed.
Two options are available for rooms. Currently, I live in the largest room and my other roommate (who is leaving) pays for two rooms and uses one of them as an office. Depending on what you would want, you could either live in the larger room or take the office/smaller room combo. Rooms are not furnished.
1 room option: monthly rent is $557.33.
2 room option: monthly rent is $742.67.
Utilities average around $100–150 per month. A security deposit of 1 month’s rent is also due upon move-in.
Parking is permit on our street, and there’s free parking all around as well. There is also a garage spot available for $50 per month if you are interested.
