About Me

Hello! It's Francesca here... This is a summary of me and maybe a few key things found in the following paragraphs: I just graduated from UGA with a bachelor of science. While I've always had a passion for art and design, my true love lies in health and caring for people, making me an aspiring physician. Upon moving to NY, I'll be working in a clinical research position. But I plan to explore. I'm thinking lots of walking, browsing, and eating... If you'd like to read more or to get to know me more, keep reading and feel free to reach out... But stop here if you're good. Lol!

Growing up the best feeling in the world was the first 3 minutes of jumping into the salty crisp ocean just a short drive/walk from my house. The instant sensation of icicles pressing against my skin felt like the actual definition of utter shock but at the same time, it equally felt safe and controlled. That feeling lasted a few minutes but the last ~30 seconds were filled with the slow but sweet habituation of sensations that left my body feeling warm and weightless. My fast swimming pattern would then slow and it felt like a warm blanket of water wrapped around my body. That ~30 seconds then dragged out into the entire duration of my swim but came in waves, off and then on... Now as an adult, I have decided that I haven't experienced enough things to claim one particular feeling as "the absolute best feeling in the world." But I may submit another explanation to my problem if you will, and that is that I may have experienced so many different things in life thus far that it's impossible to put my finger on just one experience or feeling alone.
For the purpose of this case study I will submit a few other things that I enjoy doing and the sensations around them that make those experiences so enjoyable. For example, as I walk through thrift shops, the smell of a million different stories clatter around me and the variation of textures and patterns stimulate my imagination to the new lives each garment could still live. Or perhaps the urgent feeling that resides over me as I wait to board a plane to a different place. In this context urgent is meant in the best way, as it suggestively encapsulates the multitude of feels that coincide with urgency like the urgent need to explore something new, or to escape from the ordinate, the urgency to meet new people, or the urgency to get somewhere to learn something new, the urgency to be the person someone needs on the other side of the plane, or in the simplest form the urgency to get on the plane with everything I have with me in some cases; all these things at once or individually. Or it's the feeling you get when you walk into a room filled with art, art of any/all modalities, I could sit in that space for ages if you would let me... Now, I will stop here and save you from my perspective on hiking or walking, interior design, and coffee shops, things I also love but rather not bore you any further.
Besides these things, I also love understanding health on a holistic level and learning in general. I will contribute that my greatest passion in life will forever be in the pursuit of helping my neighbor. As I bandaged up all my little brothers' friends day after day while they continually pushed the limits of physics, I knew that this passion for helping people felt most fulfilled when I was sitting and tending to the whole person before; therefore I am an aspiring physician and a bubbly undercover nerd for research. These things have brought me to my search for a new roommate as I will be moving for a post-bac research position during my gap year between medical school and undergrad.
